With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

Strong roastiness, very prominent hop bitterness cuts through. Excellent stuff, however the malt/hop interplay is less harmonious than other hoppy-leaning imperial stouts like Yeti.

355ml bottle. Pitch black with one finger beige head. Aroma is deep with roasted malts, coffee, dry cocoa and faint liqorice. Taste is bitter with roasted malts, hard roasted coffee, cocoa and spiciness. Filling mouthfeel with nice alcohol warmth, light carbonation and lasting roasted bitter aftertaste.

Pours like black, smooth syrup with a brown one finger head with an aroma of malt and slight coffee. Tastes bitter sweet with slight cocoa notes and anise finish.

Bottle, 355ml. A dark beer with a small brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee, mint, alcohol and maybe cinnamon. Taste is bitter with a lactose and mint finish. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy with faint carbonation. Very nice and well-balanced.

Bottle, 355ml. Opaque dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Aromas of dried fruits, roasted malts, mint, spices, alcohol. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Thick and creamy. Medium sweet, heavily bitter. Delicious roasted character into a stinging bitter finish. Exquisite.

Svart och krämig. Kaffe, choklad och lite torkad frukt. En bra, lagom vanlig imp Stout. Smakar rätt ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thick beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of coffee and Marmite. Flavour of blueberries, coffee, earth and nuts. Medium body with a smooth, foamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. For me this is verging on a Black IPA. Lacking in depth.

Dark brown. Small tan head. Aroma toasty malt and nuts and grass and herbs. Medium full body. Some booze. Flavor up front is unusually hoppy for a stout, pine and hay. Then the sweet caramel and roasted malts appear. Good I guess, found this one a little odd.

NITRO. Served on tap at Victory. Dark black color with a tan head. Dark chocolate coffee aroma. Coffee smokey malt flavor. Medium body. But too much smoke and not enough imperial. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at brewery with commonmac and rosskyle and samadouche. Black with thick tan head and good lacing. Sweet chocolate nose, but subtle. Taste is sweet, boozy, roasted malty and drying. Finish is bitter. Typical flavors of this style. Solid.
