Feb 12, 2001 I’m sorry, I just can’t find fault with this beer. I was lucky enough to be able to sample 3 of the Victory beers, this company just kicks butt, and just when you think one is better that the other, you pop another open and get to experience what makes this company so great. This stout is amazing, the way it tastes and feels in your mouth before you swallow, nectar from the gods. What amazed me even more was the alcohol content. For a beer so high, the taste ... Unfortunately, not availabe in the Northeast, makes me want to live in PA. This is a great beer to have after a long day, and all you want to do is sit, have a quality beer and relax.

Feb 13, 2001 I must admit....I have had several stouts in my life, and this one is the best...the nice expresso-like taste is beautiful...almost like the best black coffee in the world! The nice high alcohol content is an added benefit! Beats Rogue’s Imperial Stout hands down! In the words of the folk over at Victory, ’Cheers!’

does not count Nov 4, 2001 This is a fantastic beer. Initially, I wanted to compare it to Guinness, but its a different taste. Guinness is great and Storm King is great, but with different, wonderful tastes. Buy this if you can and you will be a happy person.

Dec 20, 2002 When poured into the glass it is BLACK, no light gets through. The head is thick, rich and a creamy mocha tan. It lasted. The lace was beautiful, the same color as the head, and it draped the inside to the last sip. The aroma was amazing and complex and intense. I nosed coffee, chocolate, berries (as it warmed), floral, malt and hops. The taste was amazing, full and smooth. I tasted chocolate, coffee, milk, fruit (berries), roasted malt and hops. Temperature plays a role in this beer. The warmer it got the more intense and distinct the flavors became. It starts off alittle sweet then all the flavors jump at you and then it has a dry long lasting finish. GREAT BEER
