COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Pours a clear golden color with a two-finger white head and some spotty lacing on the way down. Thin white cap throughout. The nose brings a bit of light citrus hops and a slight floral character. Light grain is there as well. Flavor is slightly bready and grainy with some slight hop flavor. Body is light and crisp with good carbonation and a light bitterness to the finish. Well done.

Wonderful warm weather beer. Pours a beautiful clear gold. Crisp hop notes of grapefruit and pine, but light enough to not overpower. Light, but very flavorful and crisp. Highly recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Aroma of biscuit, toast, fruity hops, hint of caramel sweetness. Pours pale straw golden, some white head, short retention. Taste: surprisingly dry, crisp bitter finish, a lot of toasted grains in this. Also has a pilneresque quality about it. Light body, lively carbonation, creamy texture. Overall: doesn't really do anything for me, but doesn't feel flawed either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Best by sept 26th 2013. A- Pours out a very clear golden lager color, deeper-gold with lots and lots of bubbles in a somewhat frothy, sticky head. S - Wow this is one of the most grapefruit forward beers I've ever had. I mean literally smells like fresh grapefruit when you cut it in half and are about to eat it. Also smelling some grassy hops as well as some bready malts. T- Taste is rather complex mix of citrus grapefruit and some grassy herbal hops. Also some sweet malt in there, very lager like. P- The pallet is rather full but not overly rich making this pretty sessionalable and drinkable on a hot day. Bubbly, crisp and refreshing. O-Overall I'm not unfamiliar with this beer nor any of victories offerings. I had this beer last summer yet this year's version seems a little better, tweaked to be a little more hoppy. I'll definitely be buying much more this stuff as the weather warms up. What I like about it is it isn't hollowed out in the middle like a lot of newer, hoppy sessionable summer beers which are becoming fashionable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

$11.99 for a six pack in DC. A great mixture of a blonde ale with European hops. Great taste with a fantastic kick of semi-bitter hops at the end. Very crisp and drinkable, especially in the heat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a bright orange. Floral and citrus aromas, however not as citrus forward as last year. Somewhat earthy and a little watered down. Great sessionable summer beer

Sampled at Fort Worth Untapped. Poured a boring pale yellow color with little to no white head. Resin, grass, floral, and spruce. Fizzy on the palate. Way overhopped for this style

Bottle from Eastlake Henry’s: Poured a glowing white tinted yellow hue liquid with a thin layer of film for a head. Smell is your typical grassy and grained wheat summer ale style. The drink is the same as the aroma but has a much heavier palate and a much more flavorful of grassy grains and a squeeze of citrus. Certainly one of the best summer ales I ever taste, and sort of reminds of a kolsch style of beer.
