COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Best by 20 September 2014 - Pours clear pale yellowish with a smooth white head. Aroma of hay, grass, floral hops and citrus. Taste is crisp, grassy and slightly floral with some citrusy notes. Finish is crisp and bitter with some hints of hay and grass. Easygoing, but balanced and tasty golden ale.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is doughy, grapefruit, perfume--all kind of mild. Pours hazy pale yellow with a medium white head that falls after a minute into a skiff of foam. Taste is much more bitter than I was expecting; also has a bit of tartness. Tastes more like an American Pale than a Golden Ale. Crisp, refreshing, highly carbonated. Nice beer. BTW, it expired two months ago, but it seems perfectly fine.

"More pilsnerish to me than I was expecting. Nice floral crisp hop presence and light grainy sweet malt for balance. Refreshing and tasty though not a standout."

A bit bitter for my taste. Very hoppy if that's your thing. I've had it before and remember it tasting different. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale citrine color, tall head, spotty lacing. Assertive resinous nose (percevejo). Light body, mild flavor, avg length. Bitter, dry, Corn flavor in background, hops up front. Not light enough for the summer, nor rich enough for the cold weather. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2014 For a blonde ale this is tops but I feel it has more in common with a pilsner than even the hop ticket hopped up pils-rating as a blonde either way: very pilsner like aroma with excellent dry peppery hops, dry citrus, bread and honey - flavor is a bit hollow malt wise but retains good pilsner character, dry bready/wheatiness, yeast, and strong hops - as a pilsner this is very good, as a blonde its great

on tap at Bertucci’s - very good. Thought it was an IPA because of the hoppiness. Great aroma and flavor - good stuff!
