COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Bottle, Chester Beer & Wine. Gold pour with a trifling white head. Aroma had some grassy hop, citrus and biscuity malts in the house. Lightish body. Flavour was dry and crisp with notes of lemon, grass and a little pine. Solid enough with ok hoppage but this doesn’t rank amongst Victory’s finest.

Golden appearance, taste of lemons. Plenty of hops, but still light and refreshing

Enjoyed at BTBF 2015. Clear gold appearance. Zesty, sour sweet aroma. Fruity nose. Hoppy taste with citrus lemon and spice.

Nose is floral hops, honey/grainy/bready sweetness. Flavor is same with a light bitterness that cuts through the sweetness nicely.

Tap@ Flying Pie: clear gold color with a small white head. Fairly strong hop aroma with a solid hop backbone in flavor. This is my kind of Golden Ale!

Draft ar Fado. Gold pour. Foamy white head. Some lace. Feels like a mildly hopped up pilsner. Mild. Nothing offensive. Beats a Bud. Could be a nice suggestion for individuals a bit scared of IPAs. Otherwise not extraordinary.

On Tap bright deep golden with a full white head. Slightly sweet light pale malts and just a littel noble hop at the end. Full bodied and rich. very satisfying for a golden. Victory !

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - dried lemon peel, slight cakiness. Kinda panetonne of sorts. Taste - really tangy lemon peel, then something tropical, maybe melon. Light cake in the background again. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - would definitely go down well in summer. Good bitterness.

Bottle into glass. Grassy and weedy. Sip adds caramel. Thought this would be better since the ratings...

12oz undated but recently purchased bottle (from notes). A hazy yellow straw with a average white head that has OK duration but leaves more than average lacing. Mild aroma, and not particularly attractive. Earthy, fruity (mainly citrus), overly floral, with some off notes. T - has more and much better flavor than anticipated. More hop contribution than usual for style, with some malt background, a lemony tint, and a bit of yeasty fruitiness. M - Thin, semi-watery. Good carbonation. O - a mix of good and bad. Rather striking contrast between aroma and taste.
