COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

On tap @ Last Drop. Pours light yellowish golden with very thin white head. Aroma is thin light malt and dry peppery hops. Taste is clean lemony pale biscuity malt with dry herbal hops on the finish. Impressively light and flavorful, really a perfect summer beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale, biscuity malt, light resiny hops, some floral notes, light citrus, crisp and refreshing, decent summer beer.

Clear straw yellow color. Not much head, almost looks like a white wine. The first aroma is interesting: itís metallic, but also kind of flowery. The malts are of the Euro variety (more sharp German than bready English). The hops are borderline perfume. There is an aroma that is borderline white-grape; I canít quite put my finger on it. The taste doesnít have a Belgian funk, but it has a Belgian golden quality. The malts arenít quite "bready," but they are sweet and soft. There is a definite grape/berry component that is so unusual. The feel is really dry, almost champagne-like. Itís a better-than-average summer ale, to be sure. Adds a little white wine to the mix, and thatís actually a good thing in this case.

Nice malty aroma with a subtle citrus aroma from the hops. Very clean appearance. The beer is a light golden yellow with brilliant clarity. The head is foamy white with excellent retention and nice lacing on the glass. The beer has a nice biscuit malty flavor up front with a nice bit of hop flavor and bitterness on the back end. Finishes a little dry which makes you want to go back for more. Good Summertime beer.

Bottled. Pours pale golden with a small yet long lasting egg-white head. Crisp straw and dried grass aroma with some underlying fruits (peach flesh and light orange zest) and graham cracker. Lightly sweet flavor at first that grows increasingly bitter as flavors of light leather, grapefruit rind and slightly sour, doughy bread come to the forefront. Solidly carbonated. Finish has a little lingering rye bread, heavy straw and more citrus rind. Quaffable and solidly made.

Bottle from Harvest Market Pours a pretty clear deep straw color with a good sized tightly bubbled white head that recedes to form a cap on top. Aromas of bready and light caramel malts with a solid floral spicy hop to counter. The flavor is rich sweet bready malts with a bit of earthy spicy hops. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Wow I really enjoyed this beer! Extremely clean, simple, but quite flavorful at the same time.

A refreshing light beer with a clean after taste. I do enjoy the fizzy bite that it has as you drink it.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a lighter gold-straw color with a good-sized foamy white head with modest retention and decent cling and lacing. Its aroma featured floral notes, with mixes of straw and pine, along with grainy hops, and caramel malt as well. A somewhat bitter grainy and lightly hopped beer mixed with lighter sweet and malty tones as well. The body had an average mouthfeel in terms of thickness and was fairly dry with good carbonation.

Bottle pour. Clear yellow gold with active head of large suds. Clean smelling aroma of earthy hops, some grass and faint honey cereal malts. Taste is decidedly dry and bitter, though not aggressively so. Just a hint of citrus at the end. Not the best balanced.
