COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Pours gold with a thin white head. Two-Row, grainy, toasted bread crust aroma with background earthy spicy hops. Taste is more hoppy than the aroma leads on, with malt becoming in the back ground. Hallertau hops and Pale malt, quiet simple and drinkable. Dry hoppy finish. No fermentation flaws. Decent.

Bit hit of citrus on top of the usual lightly sweet malts just like a good summer ale should. Extremely drinkable, especially on a humid summer day.

Clear golden with a frothy whitish head and a small amount of lacing. Lots of grassy and floral hops, pale malts, earth, and a hint of citrus in the aroma. The taste is full and hoppy. Crisp and refreshing, medium bodied yet light feeling. I almost want to just keep on chugging. Great blond ale, and one hell of a summer brew. I’m not much of a fan of this category usually, but I love this. Now if they’ll start selling these instead of Bud Light at the ballpark... In another life perhaps.

Aroma- A nice hint of citrous, some malt aroma, no hoppiness. Appearance- A nice hazy golden yellow with a white, small bubble one finger head that did not hang around long. Taste- Taste did not follow aroma as expected. Slight hoppiness, no citrousy flavor as I anticipated. Drinks like a pale ale, not the blonde i had thought. Overall- Not a bad beer, just not what i was expecting. When it was billed as a Blonde Ale, I wasnt expecting as hoppy of a beer. In no way do I dislike it, it just would have been better billed as a pale ale.

i found this to be more of a pale ale than a blond, along the same lines of Sierra Nevada-hoppier than i was expecting. not my cup of tea. or beer, as it were.

Pale-ish yellow pour. Grassy and faintly floral hop aroma with a thin backbone and only lingering vegetal notes against a backdrop that suggests it could have been either an IPA or a hefeweizen if only it had been more committed. Bottle.

pale straw, gold; off white head that laces lightly. Smell is a mix of grains and grassy, citrusy hops.Tasted of malt, a grassy component, light fruit, and a slight hoppy tinge. Well carbonated.

Bottle poured into a pint glass A: straw yellow, 1/2" head with poor retention. Thin lacing cap. S: mellow sweetness, slight lemon T: hop bitterness is more previlent than expected. Slight citrus and flower. Light sweetness cuts through the bitterness to a point. M: light bodied, slightly sticky and drying

Draft at Dexters. Filtered orange-yellow. Steady white head. Spicy sharp hop bite, quite intense. Doughy, yeasty aftertaste. Very Bohemian, some light buttery tones though. The bitter, astringent hop dosage really carries it, making it quite refreshing. Good, but not great.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Appearance is a clean, bubbly light gold with a thick white head of foam that sticks to the sides of the glass as it dissipates. Aroma is lightly grainy with sweet notes of leather, vanilla, wood, and bubblegum. Very interesting and subtle nuances really stand out as the main proponent of this beer. Taste is lightly bready and doughy. Mouthfeel is super light and smooth. Velvety even. I get a touch of bitterness a few seconds after the swallow. Victory really nails it with this beer. So good.
