COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

12oz bottle poured into a pint plaza. Beer is light golden color with white head, very clear and appealing. Aroma is pilsner hops and spice from the German pale malts. Taste is like a lighter lager with pilsner notes and a nice clean hop finish. Body is light and refreshing, so as the name implies, a great summer beer. Finish is long with the pils style bitterness. Overall, exactly what I was expecting.

Well I liked everything victory put out till I cracked this gem. Silly pebble in the rough. This beer is almost budweiser. I actually would prefer budweiser. Fuck this crap. Looks like piss, smells like plisner malts and almost tastes like wolf pussy. To be more technical the hops do not match the malt bill. Odd hop bill, too many weak hops, like overdoing Kent east goldings

Bottle. Powdery floral and light grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow color with large head. Sweet light malt and moderately bitter grapefruit/pine hops flavor. Palate on the light side. Okay - light on the malt but strong hops presence.

Viewed through the prism of a refreshing summer blonde ale, it’s difficult to see this beer as anything less than stellar. Hay/grassy hops, sweet malt that isn’t overwhelming, and a generally light body that is perfect for the style. When you want more from less, this is a good option.

Bottle from BevMo Arden. Pours light golden with a thick white head and a floral aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a spicy finish.

Same bottle as pictured. Poured light yellow with small head. Light body, aroma and flavour is mostly of light wheat/grain. Smooth finish.

On tap. Clean lines. Beer pours golden with a red tint; lively head. Aroma is wheaty but mild. Good head retention. Taste is clean with a nice flavor profile into a medium body; smooth finish with a clean aftertaste - excellent summer beer; very impressed with the 2011 version!

Bottle. Pours clear gold and lively with a fluffy 2-finger beige head that falls slowly. Aromas of mild wheat, light tropical fruit (guava), some grass and hay, and a little cheddar cheese? Hmm. Flavor is light bitter grass and tropical fruit, with slight tart fruitiness. Lively, smooth, and refreshing, and really pretty drinkable on a hot day. Good. [741]

Bottle. Pours out a yellow color with a thick white head on it. Smell is hoppy, grassy, with a little bit of corn / malt smell. Taste is smooth and easy to drink. A pretty good session style beer that doesnt try too hard to be something it isnt. Good enough for me.

12oz bottle, pours a clear light golden/yellow with a soapy white head, aroma is sweet with notes of lemon and grass, flavor is crisp and clean with a hint of fruit and hops in the finish, really pretty enjoyable for what it is, perfect for a hot summer day.
