Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2013 Bottle, this drink had a clear yellow gold pour (there were some particles floating around when poured) and gave a two finger white head that receded to a thin cover and ring, the glass had a few streams flowing in the center of the glass, and it left some small spots and fingers on the glass, there were aromas of mild floral and citrus hops (the hops had a faint green and herb touch to them), faint pear fruit and toasted malt, a little lemon citrus and some fruit sweetness, the flavors were citrus and faint pine hops, light toasted malt and bread, and light lemon like fruit, the finish had a mild hop bitterness, the mouth feel was light and had some creaminess with average carbonation, this was a nice Blond ale, light citrus and floral hops, easy to drink, a good thirst quencher on a hot day.

Really nice hop aroma. Very bright. Very citrusy. Really good job at making a hoppy lighter beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with white head...aroma and flavor of grassy, bitter hops, light citrus, soap, and a hint of grain. Flavor has more of a grapefruit pulp finish than it does a grassy one. Crisp, refreshing.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. There's a date code on the bottom of the bottle but it's hard to read. Anyway, it's a seasonal so I know it's fresh. Pours a nice shiny yellow. Very macroesque and clear. Lots of frothy white head and lacing. Mouthfeel is light and crisp like a pilsner or kolsch. Taste is grassy with a decent amount of hops to tingle the tongue. Mild Belgian funk is present. Some sweetness but not too much. And round it off with some ground black pepper. Overall this is a fantastic beer. I could drink this from May to September and again in February. Full of flavor, mild on alcohol and perfectly balanced flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some cloudy white head. Nose is fruity, lightly spicy, yeast, lemon, grass. Flavor is similar, sweet, grass, lemon. Medium bodied, dry finish. Perfect summer beer.

12 oz bottle. 98* day. Pours pilsner-piss yellow, tiny white head, some spotty lacing. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy. Also get some citrus, bitterness. Flavor is very smooth, a little grassy, moderately carbonated, honey sweetness at the end. Very drinkable beer on a blazing hot day. The perfect beer to swill heartily alongside your PBR/Natty Boh/American macro drinking friends.

Pale yellow in color with a thin head and a hoppy, old style aroma. Medium bitterness with a smooth hoppy finish.

Light and tasty and very refreshing. Effervescent up front; dry in the finish. Bready and cracker-like with a touch of honey-ish sweetness. Snappy bitterness. Pleasant esters and hop aromas of lemon, flowers and spices. Wonderfully made summer beer.

Pale in color with a smallish head and plenty of carbonation. Crystal clear. Good aroma in the nose. lightly hopped and sweeter malts balance well. The taste finds citrusy hops with a bit of floral and bready malts that have a hint of sweet honey. The finish has a semi dry and a semi bitter finish. Well made and definitely will appeal to the masses as well as discerning tastes like myself.
