COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

IPA aroma of hops and slight fruity notes. Taste is typical bitter IPA taste but not enough flavor for me to be truly good.

Well, here I am drinking a summer seasonal the day after Thanksgiving, but at least it’s pushing 70 degrees here in TN versus the 7 that it was when I left Montana. Pours straw yellow/gold with a medium sized fizzy white head that fades leaving a small cap of foam. Aroma of grassy hops, apple, earthy bitterness. Taste is nice and crisp, the hops have help up better than I was expecting, lots of floral and grassy notes. Light body, medium high carbonation.

12oz bottle bought waiting on new RRS tires. You definitely get the German hops in the aroma and flavor plus a little citrus. Nice, light and refreshing.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2012 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), with notes of lemon zest and chalk. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky, chalky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not much to say; husky, simple, watery, unclean aftertaste. Terrible label design/art.

This beer pours a hazy pale yellow color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to a film. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of sweet malt and lemongrass. Light body with flavors of mildly zesty citrus, honey, malt and a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a short citrusy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden appearance with a fluffy, pearl white head. Slightly skunky, grassy hoppy, straw aroma. Somewhat bitter, skunky, pale malty, husky, hay, straw flavor. I’m really not enjoying this.
