Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Bottle. Nice spicy hops bite on the nose above a nondescript yellow body. Flavor is half American Pale Ale, half pale lager, with a hoppy finish. Flavorful and built for sessions. Good stuff.

Aroma is moderate, golden in color. Taste had strong hops. Had a strong finish. Lasted several minutes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, as pictured. Quite refreshing and easy to drink, poured a simple gold. Very crisp mouthfeel, light. almost-floral hops. Extremely drinkable.

A nice summer brew. Thanks Chipalsa. Nose is slight citrus and grapefruit and some biscuit, grass, and pale style malt aromas. Pour is yellow with a white head. Filled my Tremens glass up. Taste is grapefruit and pale malts with a light bitter finish. Nice and refreshing. Would love to try this on tap.

Decent. That’s a good word for it. I would say that this doesn’t really standout or make itself remarkable in any way, but it is a good summer beer. Light, golden color with some hop and grapefruit notes. Super easy to drink. If you’re sitting outside on a warm summer day, expect to go through a six pack in no time.

This is an easier drinking subtly hopped ale from victory. Great floral aroma, but most importantly thirst-quenching.

Bottle. Deep yellow/pale orange pour with a white head. Pale malt and light hop aroma. Easy drinking palate with a great hop bite. Outstanding summer quencher.

Pours a medium light gold with a foamy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has a nice light malty sweetness but on the lower end of the low to moderate fruitiness that is characteristic of the style. No diacetyl or phenolic aromas. Good carbonation and mouthfeel with a little bitterness on the back end. The hops are refreshing and definitely on the bitter side of the hop to malt balance at first but mellows as you drink then you get the floral/resin flavor of the german hops. The beer finishes dry and is a great summer beer, which is what it is marketed as, and I think is a good example of a blonde ale, after the bitterness coats your mouth the malts actually do come through with a malty mixture of pale base that is bready and a little caramel to add some complexity.

Bottle poured a clear golden with a large white head and minimal lacing. Aroma includes grapefruit, grass, and a hint of buttermilk biscuit. Taste is lemon and peach upfront with a grassy crisp finish. Very drinkable beer that lives up to its name.

Grows on you. Hops stand out. It took a couple to realize how light it is while the hops take over.
