3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Well, here I am drinking a summer seasonal the day after Thanksgiving, but at least itís pushing 70 degrees here in TN versus the 7 that it was when I left Montana. Pours straw yellow/gold with a medium sized fizzy white head that fades leaving a small cap of foam. Aroma of grassy hops, apple, earthy bitterness. Taste is nice and crisp, the hops have help up better than I was expecting, lots of floral and grassy notes. Light body, medium high carbonation.

12oz bottle bought waiting on new RRS tires. You definitely get the German hops in the aroma and flavor plus a little citrus. Nice, light and refreshing.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.

Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.

Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Not much to say; husky, simple, watery, unclean aftertaste. Terrible label design/art.

This beer pours a hazy pale yellow color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to a film. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of sweet malt and lemongrass. Light body with flavors of mildly zesty citrus, honey, malt and a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a short citrusy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Glistening blonde. Pasty white head shows good retention. Lemony and peppery hops (Tettnang?) prominently line the aroma along with some faint huskiness and hints of circus peanuts and doughy yeast. Firm body. Stiff carbonation. Opens with a juicy and rounded punch of lemony hop acids which gradually merge with lightly husky malt and an onset of doughy yeast. Snippets of peppery hop bitterness persist, scratching the palate and offering some welcomed definition and perfumey vigor to the supple hop flavors. Doughy yeast takes foothold and never fully subsides, deadening a large portion of the hoppy brightness as it contributes unnecessary weight. Consequently, the body remains slick in texture and borderline nauseating because of the oppressive yeast and odd suggestion of circus peanuts. Dry and deeply hoppy finish showcases a medley of grass, herbs, and lemon atop a honey-kissed Pils malt foundation. Has the similar framework of Prima Pils, which typically ranges from very dirty to putridly unclean, but this is marginally cleaner. While the malt is a little husky and the yeast rather doughy, the hop character nicely juggles flavor with bitterness, with neither being overaggressive. Would love to see this bottle-conditioned and brewed with a Belgian yeast, because the potential is here.
