COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Bottle. Pours a straw color with a semi-thin white head. Aroma is grassy hops, fruit, and some floral notes. Taste is grassy, with some fruit, and a touch of light malt. Very crisp, session beer.

[Bottle] Pours a clear straw gold with a medium off white head. The aroma is really fresh, bright, citrusy, floral, and grassy hops with a little bit of crackery malt in the background with some fruity yeast. The flavor is where things get really interesting. On the front, it starts out really light, with the citrus hops coming through prominently. But as it moves across the palate, it gains a lot of body and the floral and grassy component comes on really strongly. The bitterness is a bit coarse and reminds me a lot of Prima Pils. The malt is light and crackery and the yeast is a bit subdued by all the hops going on. This was a really interesting beer and I will certainly be buying more of this.

On Tap at Johnny Brendas. Pint glass. Very fresh. Pours clear golden with airy white head that laced the glass. The aroma of pine, citrus, and peach. Taste of light malt, peach and citrus. Light sessionable beer with enough hop flavor to enjoy

Pours a nice gold with a decent white head and good lacing on the way down. Aroma is of wheat, grain, and slight sweet malts. Taste is slightly eccentric, with a nice hefe start, but ends dry and kind of bitter. Nice beer.

Clear yellow color with soapy white head. The aroma is very green with notes of earth and vegetable. The body is light yet clean with dirt and earth flavors. There is somewhat of a pine feeling taking place on the back of the palate.

12oz bottle. Thin white head. Clear golden color. Little bit of lace. Nice light hops. some crisp lemon citrus aroma. Good crisp lighter carbonation, refreshing flavor. Smooth, and a good dry texture. Good light tart sweet taste, with some savoriness. Great golden ale.

Orlando was left out last year, the Beer Gods have smiled upon us this year. Pours a light golden color, small and snowy head. Aroma is lemon, hay, slight grassy note. Flavor is clean, crisp and focused. Biscuity some more of the lemony citric notes. Great beer, especially for a crappy Florida summer.

Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on the day of my bachelor party after a 5 mile run. Appearance is a nice very slightly cloudy gold with a moderate white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is very citrusy, slight crisp, but also contains the yeast strain found w/ most blond ales. It really smells delicious. Taste is pretty good, not as bitter as the aroma gives off, not really bitter at all actually, goes down pretty smooth with a light hay malt and yeast presence. It’s pretty good stuff, typically not the biggest fan of these brews but this one is going down nicely.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium yellow with a chunky creamy head. Amazing head retention and lacing. Smells absolutely fabulous. Tons of citrus and flowers. Grape, bubblegum, along with some grass and pine. This really might be one of the best smelling beers I have ever had. Nice floral and citrus up front on the taste along with a little bit of light bread. High bitterness takes hold almost immediately and lasts through the finish. Finishes quite clean and dry. Overall, what an excellent beer! The aroma is just out of this world. My one complaint would be the bitterness feels a little too much for the style but it is a mild complaint. Unfortunately I can’t buy this in my area but I am definitely stocking up on my next trip out of town.

Bottle. Golf course. Pours a golden color with a very large fluffy white head. Well balanced and earthy with green and floral hops, a caramel backbone and a lingering finish. Nice.
