COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

12oz bottle. Clear yellow straw color, white fizzy head. Aroma of very floral hops, some sweet citrus hops as well. Sharp bitter hops overwhelm the taste buds. This beer is all hops. Some pale malts in the background, hidden by the blast of citrus oil and leather. A good summer beer. LOADS of HOPS. (3341)

Tap at Maple Tree Inn. Citrus (mostly grapefruit) aroma and flavor. Very well done. Good malt behind the scenes. Blended exceptionally well. I want to mow my lawn just so I can drink this beer afterward!

Pours a clear yellow with a thin head from a bottle. Aroma is slight alcohol. Mouth is hoppy, a bit sour, and fairly victory. Good summer beer.

Bottle-Purchased at Spec’s in El Paso, TX-Pours clear bright gold with a small sudsy soapy white head around the rim of the glass. lite carbonation here which aids to the beer IMO. nose of big bright citrus hops, flowery, husky notes and a touch of sulfer. flavors exhibit the big hop profile for such a small beer however, the hops are more spicy than one would think from the nose-more abrasive, slightly dank pine that lingers for a very long time into the finish. lite body with lite carbonation make this one easy to pound. On a hot NM day, this really fits the bill. For me, this is the best beer Victory has come out with in years.

Dark straw/pale amber. Medium head. Smells like weed, real powdery lupulin hops. Light on the bitterness, and with a fresh, breezy Atlantic boardwalk sort of maltiness. Wish more of the dank nose made it onto the palate. The bitterness does sit on the tongue a little bit, but I was promised more. It reminds me of De Smet Hop Harvest from Marble in Albuquerque, except not as refined or unique. Good brew though.

Bottle. Pours a straw color with a semi-thin white head. Aroma is grassy hops, fruit, and some floral notes. Taste is grassy, with some fruit, and a touch of light malt. Very crisp, session beer.

[Bottle] Pours a clear straw gold with a medium off white head. The aroma is really fresh, bright, citrusy, floral, and grassy hops with a little bit of crackery malt in the background with some fruity yeast. The flavor is where things get really interesting. On the front, it starts out really light, with the citrus hops coming through prominently. But as it moves across the palate, it gains a lot of body and the floral and grassy component comes on really strongly. The bitterness is a bit coarse and reminds me a lot of Prima Pils. The malt is light and crackery and the yeast is a bit subdued by all the hops going on. This was a really interesting beer and I will certainly be buying more of this.

On Tap at Johnny Brendas. Pint glass. Very fresh. Pours clear golden with airy white head that laced the glass. The aroma of pine, citrus, and peach. Taste of light malt, peach and citrus. Light sessionable beer with enough hop flavor to enjoy

Pours a nice gold with a decent white head and good lacing on the way down. Aroma is of wheat, grain, and slight sweet malts. Taste is slightly eccentric, with a nice hefe start, but ends dry and kind of bitter. Nice beer.
