Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Draft. Light gold color with fizz bubbling and no head. Appearance of a cider, but not. Smell of some hops, grass and herbs. Very light easy drinking psner. Perfect for a baseball ghame on a hot summer day

Looks like any other pale lager. Smells a little sweet with a slight hop olfactory. First taste is oooooh, a little hoppy for golden or blonde ale. Yes, this is more like an APA, way too much for a goldenale. Gets a little more skunky or farmy manure on the aroma during the session, but not in a bad way. Does not hide the alky well, and this too is odd for a golden ale. Not sure what to think about this brew. Muchh more bitter personality than I expected. Wew. Typical victory near over the top brew. Medium bitter finish.

12 ounce bottle, label says enjoy by October 17, 2011. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear gold color with an inch frothy off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is sweet malt, lemon peel and some light piney/grassy hops. I think the taste is just like the aroma, itís all sweet malt, lemon peel and pine/grassy hops. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís crisp and a bit slick with moderate carbonation. I think itís a decent enough brew, and a good brew for a hot day. Iíd buy this again, $8.99 a sixer isnít a bad price for this brew. I think itís worth trying.

12oz bottle. Rating #105. Crystal clear dark yellow pour with a decent little white head. Picking up a decent little hop aroma, nice little clean malt aroma as well, very crisp. Flavor is real nice, crisp hop bite with a light aftertaste, real nice. (1781)

12 oz bottle via 6-pack from Spirits Point Beach. Poured a rather mundane flat golden body underneath a large bright white foamy head. Aroma of toast, peach, tangerine, and some slight metallic notes that actually blends well into the aroma. Medium bodied with average to strong carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Flavor of grains, and some light fruit skins, peach..apricot , tangerine. Not bad and better then the other lousy summer beers Iíve tried recently.

Location: 12 oz bottle from a random market in Hoboken, 7/2/11

Aroma: The nose is fairly malty and floral with some light citrus notes
Appearance: The pour is a clear yellow color with a small white head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, moderately sweet with a moderately bitter finish
Palate: The body is fairly light, it gets drier as it finishes, and drinks relatively smoothly
Overall Impression: This is a solid beer, it is drinkable and quite seasonable, but it certainly isnít anything exceptional. I would drink it again, and I could see it making for a good BBQ/Tailgate type of beer.

Bottle. There is some rosey floral quality to the aroma. Aroma and visuals match the expectation of a summery golden ale but flavor is a wallop of piney hops. But is also sweet, crisp and refreshing. Carbonation gives it a bit of a soda feeling. Easy to guzzle. Iíll be a happy man to find this at any picnic.

This was really nice for what it ia., light and refreshing with a grassy hop kick and a surprisingly bitter bite. Some nice malty sweetness. A great summer beer.

7/1/11. On tap. Clear, very light golden pour with a frothy white head that sticks and laces pretty well, surprisingly. Plain aroma of grass and pale malts with a hint of lemon peel. Big pale malt flavor that reminds me of a pilsner, along with grassy hops and a slight finish of lemon and cream. Really not bad for what it is.
