Bottles all summer long - Easily my favorite beer from Victory. This is what their Headwaters Pale Ale should be, but alas, they are not going to brew this one year round (even though it seems to sell faster than any other Victory at a couple distributors...). A hoppy floral aroma wafts forth from a pale yellow gold body. Great pale malt pils body with the hops of a really good pale ale. Perfect balance of floral, spicy and citrus hops that appeal to almost everyone - from IPA lovers to IPA haters. Please make this a year round brew Victory!!

Aroma bread, hay,
Appearance pale, golden, clear, white foam,
Taste medium sweetness,
Palate light body, thin feel,
Overall it tastes a little better than a Miller lite but it’s on the same page. I would suggest this beer to a friend who likes miller bud or corse lite style beers. Hopefully it would get them to try craft beer.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2015 Part of a stellar tasting lineup at K&L Wines in Redwood City. Noble hop aroma balanced nicely with biscuit malt. Clear yellow with white head. Taste follows aroma. More gritty pils malt on the retaste.

Has a really nice aroma. Descent taste that is slightly hoppy but still pretty tame. Good.

On tap at 28 Springs. Pours a golden yellow with a very thin white head. Aroma is slight pine. Some corn. Flavor follows and is slightly sweet and fairly hoppy for the style. Nice beer but really more of a pale ale.

Keg in Molly Malloys, Philly. Heavy malty body with a strong head. Slight pilsner-esque crispness to it but tropical fruits coming though.

Taste of grass, a slight hint of that weird Heineken flavor, hop bitterness in the finish. Nothing to write home about.

Clear yellow. This smells like tomato sauce....lots of grains, some kinda herbs, odd. Luckily it doesn't taste like tomato sauce, grainy, pale malts, a bit bitter on the finish. Kinda watery. Meh

12oz from Brewers Haven.. Clear straw golden, wispy white head... Grainy pale malt and light grassy hops. Sorta sweet finish... No flaws really, but just nothing I will ever seek out again.

Poured into a pint glass.
4.5 A: Clear golden yellow color. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention is good and plenty of lacing is left.
3.5 S: This smells refreshing. Clean neutral maltiness. Hoppy for what it is, offering mainly floral and citrus notes. Not much else to say.
3.75 T: Tastes as refreshing as it smells. Clean neutral malts, light citrus hoppiness and a bit more floral, and a mild to moderate bitterness.
3.75 M: Lighter medium to medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Just enough thickness in here. Light creaminess.
3.75 D: Supremely drinkable. Perfect lawnmower beer or anytime beer.
