Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with white head...aroma and flavor of grassy, bitter hops, light citrus, soap, and a hint of grain. Flavor has more of a grapefruit pulp finish than it does a grassy one. Crisp, refreshing.

Draft at Brighthouse Field during Phillies Spring training game. Plastic solo cup. Poured a golden pale with what looked like a one finger fluffy head. Can’t tell the lacing. Nice floral aroma with coriander and flowers. Taste is light with a mostly pilsener/floral notes. Light hops and malt presence. Light body, soft and delicate finish.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a yellow/orange colored body that yielded a soft white fizzy one finger head that died within twenty seconds. A very light spotty lacing was left with no rings. Fast rising carbonation was seen. The smell was centered around the hops and grass. Some light citrus and caramel came out as the beer warmed. The taste was exactly the same as the smell, nothing different. The palate was light with a decent amount of carbonation felt and it almost came out a bit too harsh. There was a bitter finish. This was very drinkable. Overall, I liked this, I would definitely get it again.

Skunky, honey, and citrus nose. Clear, straw-golden color with a relatively well-retaining white head. Medium body, with some carbonation crispness and mild astringency. Honey-citrus flavor with extraordinary bitterness that quickly dominates the early sweetness.
