4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Best by sept 26th 2013.
A- Pours out a very clear golden lager color, deeper-gold with lots and lots of bubbles in a somewhat frothy, sticky head.
S - Wow this is one of the most grapefruit forward beers I've ever had. I mean literally smells like fresh grapefruit when you cut it in half and are about to eat it. Also smelling some grassy hops as well as some bready malts.
T- Taste is rather complex mix of citrus grapefruit and some grassy herbal hops. Also some sweet malt in there, very lager like.
P- The pallet is rather full but not overly rich making this pretty sessionalable and drinkable on a hot day. Bubbly, crisp and refreshing.
O-Overall I'm not unfamiliar with this beer nor any of victories offerings. I had this beer last summer yet this year's version seems a little better, tweaked to be a little more hoppy. I'll definitely be buying much more this stuff as the weather warms up. What I like about it is it isn't hollowed out in the middle like a lot of newer, hoppy sessionable summer beers which are becoming fashionable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Several draught pints at The Rock in Beloit, WI, late June. Sitting outside on a perfect 75 degree (24-degrees C to all of you anti-American Euro-Asiati-African terrorists) cloudless day, the briefest wisp of wind, eating the All-American burger & fries - and drinking this. It’s a very smooth-drinking, full-bodied (but not too full that I didn’t need more) summer beer, probably as close to perfect on that simple scale as anything I’ve had in what’s turned out to be a scorcher - the pour is, gosh, golden of course, not exactly clear but close enough, with a thin whisker of lasting snow...it’s bready-malty in the nose, with a little rosemary, a bit of honey...and on the tongue these characteristics deliver the beer equivalent of a very good, very light honey-wheat bread, not my favorite item from the bakery normally but heck I’ll take a great example of that over a very poor brioche or pumpernickel, wouldn’t you? and that’s what this is, an expert example of a not-that-exciting style. Here’s to more patio days, if it ever gets cool and dry enough again....

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 22 July 2016) Golden colour with creamy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with peaches, bread, orange and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, orange, bready malt and a balanced floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a light sweetness. Fresh and highly drinkable summer ale. Quite nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours from bottle crisp golden yellow with small, bone-white head.
Nose is biscuit, grass, lemon. On the palate, hoppy citrus is mercifully restrained by touch of malt and bread. Reasonable ABV avoids strong alcohol taste. Nothing too complicated, but clean and crisp, a breezy beer for a day at the beach.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Intense floral hops, light honey, grain and bread malts, light caramel, some straw. Clear gold, small, frothy, white head. Medium bitter. Floral hops continue, pale grain malts, lively carbonation, light pine in the finish. Decent Golden Ale, yet nothing too special. Bottle from Wine Rack, Henley-on-Thames.

@ Bishops Folkis 16-7-9: Typisk belgisk doft med tydlig krydda. Ganska besk smak. Rätt ok men ganska enkel.
