COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

spot on with its design: light, drinkable, tad lagerish. should appeal to the masses but does have a stronger malt base with some (though light) hoppiness. overall, a pretty decent beer made for summer.

Part of a stellar tasting lineup at K&L Wines in Redwood City. Noble hop aroma balanced nicely with biscuit malt. Orange-yellow and hazy with white head. Taste follows aroma.

Has a really nice aroma. Descent taste that is slightly hoppy but still pretty tame. Good.

On tap at 28 Springs. Pours a golden yellow with a very thin white head. Aroma is slight pine. Some corn. Flavor follows and is slightly sweet and fairly hoppy for the style. Nice beer but really more of a pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Golden color, small white head. Hoppy citrusy aroma. Quite light bodied but good hoppy flavor. Good summer beer.

Keg in Molly Malloys, Philly. Heavy malty body with a strong head. Slight pilsner-esque crispness to it but tropical fruits coming though.

Taste of grass, a slight hint of that weird Heineken flavor, hop bitterness in the finish. Nothing to write home about.

Clear yellow. This smells like tomato sauce....lots of grains, some kinda herbs, odd. Luckily it doesn't taste like tomato sauce, grainy, pale malts, a bit bitter on the finish. Kinda watery. Meh

12oz from Brewers Haven.. Clear straw golden, wispy white head... Grainy pale malt and light grassy hops. Sorta sweet finish... No flaws really, but just nothing I will ever seek out again.

Poured into a pint glass. 4.5 A: Clear golden yellow color. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention is good and plenty of lacing is left. 3.5 S: This smells refreshing. Clean neutral maltiness. Hoppy for what it is, offering mainly floral and citrus notes. Not much else to say. 3.75 T: Tastes as refreshing as it smells. Clean neutral malts, light citrus hoppiness and a bit more floral, and a mild to moderate bitterness. 3.75 M: Lighter medium to medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Just enough thickness in here. Light creaminess. 3.75 D: Supremely drinkable. Perfect lawnmower beer or anytime beer.

On tap at Rattle ’N’ Hum, NYC. Spicy and citrusy noble hops aroma married to light pilsner malt. Very nearly clear light gold under a lacy, white sheet. Slightly spicy hay Hallertau flavour that starts with an assertive bitterness that develops into a sweet, pilsner malt. Excellent balance, even if more bitter than most authentic Helleses. Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp.
