This beer is similar to the other great Bavarian hefeweizens, but with a nice crisp citrus flavor. This unfiltered beer is a hazy golden color. It has a nice large white head. The flavors are clove and citrus (mostly lemon with just a tang of orange) with just a hint of banana. ROGUE (653), Newark, Delaware, USA

Plenty of clove and spice along with it. The flavor was a refreshing blend of tart lemon and spices. Thin mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation. A pretty good summer-session type of beer. skoisirius (573), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Bottle. Cloudy yellow pour, nice white head. Lots of clovey lemon with a touch of fruity sweetness on the aroma. Flavor comes through with a very light banana up front, then moves into a very lemon filled spice heaven, clove all over the place. Not as thick as some German style hefe’s, but so spiced that it almost puts itself in a different category of goodness. Excellent by no means, but a damn good spiced up here we have here!!
