Commercial Description:
As invigorating as the morning rays of the summer sun, Sunrise Weissbier satisfies when the heat is on, too. This unfiltered, Bavarian style ale is true to its origins with all ingredients except for the water having been imported from Germany. It remains unfiltered to feature the tangy, fruity flavors of its unique yeast. The imported German malt contributes greatly to add a crisp, citric snap that makes this beer a superb summertime refresher.

12oz bottle courtesy of Degarth. Pours a hazy golden color with tons of carbonation bubbles, and a huge, pillowy white head. About 2.5 fingers thick, and pretty nice retention for the style. Also nice lacing as well. Nose of lemons, oranges, wheat, grass and light banana. Get some spice in there as well, maybe some clove and a little extra, but can’t really pin it down. Flavor adds a lot more spice, heavy on the clove, and then a sweet backing from the fruit and yeast. Heavily astringent. Light to medium bodied, spritzy mouthfeel. Finish is banana, clove, oranges and wheat, medium length and refreshing.

Slightly cloudy golden color with a large white head that disappeared quickly. Spiced citrus aroma with notes of banana. Tangy citrus and spiced fruit flavor. Refreshing spice lingers on after the finish.

Bottled samle courtesy of Piscator. Nice citrus and banana aroma. G=Lots of bubbles which I like. Did not pair it with the right food, but was starter anyway.

Pour is a hazy light gold with some legs. Rather large marshmellow like head. Citrusy lemon and banana aroma. Slightly sour flavor, which differenciates it from other hefes. I kind of like that about it, making it unique in that manner. Good refreshing beer from Victory. I’d buy it again.

12 oz Bottle-Pours a clear light golden color w/almost no head. Slight spiced aroma. Had a lot of carbonation, flavors of citrus, spice, bananas, & bread dough. Had a sharp bite to it, no sweetness at all. A little rough around the edges. This one was ok, but I prefer my Hefe’s to be a little more of an easy drinking, session type beer, something you can sit down & knock back a few, this beer doesn’t fit that bill. Not one of Victorys best efforts.

Sampled this again & found it to be much more enjoyable, guess my taste are expanding. Had a nice spicy bite to it that I found rether refreshing after a day @ the beach. Good summer brew.

This was eh. Victory’s worst offering and rendition of a style in my opinion. Not as good as other wheat beers/hefes.

Had this on vacation in bottle. Had an aroma that mislead to the true taste. Very much unfiltered with a grainy taste. Satisfying though and is very refreshing.

Courtesy of Piscator34. This is my first beer of the day after a night of drinking an entire bottle of DFH Fort (a masochistic endeavour if there ever was one). Great looking pour on this sucker. Big billowing white head. Straw coloured ale, and is more clear than expected. If I hadn’t really shaken the yeast loose from the bottom of bottle, it would have been totally clear. Not a commanding nose on this- some clove and citrus. Taste- quite clean. Spritzy carbonation and mild hefe character to it. Light bodied with lime and lemon citrus. More american wheat than hefe, but tasty none the less. This is a nice simple summer time beer. I would buy this by the caseload in the summer if I could.
