Commercial Description:
As invigorating as the morning rays of the summer sun, Sunrise Weissbier satisfies when the heat is on, too. This unfiltered, Bavarian style ale is true to its origins with all ingredients except for the water having been imported from Germany. It remains unfiltered to feature the tangy, fruity flavors of its unique yeast. The imported German malt contributes greatly to add a crisp, citric snap that makes this beer a superb summertime refresher.

Not a bad Hefeweizen. Light. Banana. Suddenly, our local grocery started stocking up on Victory. This, like Hop Devil, marks the rise of another quality regional brewer that deserves the emerging popularity - along with Bells, Founders, and Dogfish Head.

From a 12oz Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden color with a huge head of soapy white foam. Nice head retention, with a healthy carbonation floating to the top, keeping it alive. Clean banana yeasty notes with a creamy wheat malt base make up most of the aroma. Simple, but satisfying. A touch of clove phenols linger as well, but aren’t overbearing or too dominant. Light bodied, highly carbonated, crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. A little more spicy phenols present in the palate, with some nutmeg and clove making themselves a bit more prominent on the tongue. More banana comes through as well initially, but an herbal, lemony hop finish rounds out the dry final smack. Very satisfying example of the style. Thanks, Tom!

A nice yellow, slightly cloudy colored body. It had a thick frothy white that had some lacing. A nice aroma, with a mix of citrus notes, yeast notes, and peppery notes. Flavor was similar but the yeast notes were more complex, sweet initially and somewhat bread-like towards the end, but the flavor was dominated buy a nice pepper bite. I had this beer on probably the hottest day so far, and it truly is a summer beer.

Cloudy amber with foamy head. Spicey sour kind of wheat beer, not the fruity sweet kind. Pleasant enough summer beer. Had it draft at the brewery restaurant.// Rerated and this batch is wonderful. Spicey peppery clovey, but not as sour as I remember. Beautiful cloudy lemon gold color with a huge white head, perfect lemon merginue pie appearance. Just a lovely summer beer. I think the alcohol content may be a little lower.

12oz. bottle. Hazy golden/yellow color with a good sized white head. Aroma of banana, lemons and cloves. The cloves and citrus come out more in the flavor, with some banana and yeast in there as well. Nice thirst quenching beer on a hot day like today.

Bottled. Beer is cloudy light gold with a small, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head.
First aromatic impression is invitingly dry, herbal, standing on lean malt notes of light-to-moderately toasted bread/cracker; Hoppy with moderate notes of herbal resin/pine, honeysuckle florals, light note of lemon zest; Yeasty with a trace of dusty attic; Trace of coriander.
Flavor is big. Moderately acidic, moderately sweet, lightly bitter with a long, lightly acidic, light/moderately sweet, lightly bitter finish. Lasting dryness in the finish.
Luxe palate. The body is medium, the texture is velvety/watery and the carbonation is lively.
Nice rendition.

Thanks for the share sebletitje. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a nose of sugary banana and lemon with hints of yeast. Flavor is straw, banana, grass, citrus, and clove with some bread. Nice citrusy, bready finish. I like it.
