Commercial Description:
As invigorating as the morning rays of the summer sun, Sunrise Weissbier satisfies when the heat is on, too. This unfiltered, Bavarian style ale is true to its origins with all ingredients except for the water having been imported from Germany. It remains unfiltered to feature the tangy, fruity flavors of its unique yeast. The imported German malt contributes greatly to add a crisp, citric snap that makes this beer a superb summertime refresher.

Pours a cloudy orange with a fluffy stark white head. Laces well with thick coats. Pleasant aromas of warm bread, orange marmalade, and a touch of clove. Yeastiness appears more as it warms. Flavors are also soft and pleasant with subtle fruitiness and a clovey feel. All characteristics are quiet yet reserved. Stately. Nicely balanced, with nothing sticking out in a reckless manner. Everything melds together and shines. Insanely drinkable. Drained quickly at Birreria Paradiso in DC’s Georgetown.

This is just another fabulous brew from the boys at Victory. They got an absolute home run with this wheat beer. This wheat is free fo sediment and it has a fabulous crisp wheat taste. Refreshing and very reminiscent of the wheats of Bavaria, I would never know I was not drinking a fabulous German wheat. Close your eyes and you can really feel like your drinking in the Hofbrauhaus. I don’t even like wheat beers and this beer exceeded all my expectations and then some. One of the best.

Bottle: Pour is a cloudy, golden color, with a thin bubbly head, aroma is citrus, spice and yeast, flavor is citrus and dry with a light mouthfeel. Nice brew.

Hazy yellow pour with a pale orange tinge. Lots of bubbles and carbonation. Very thick white head on top. Sweet malt aroma with hints of honey and spice. Bitter yeast flavor with a touch of banana. Way over carbonated, but refreshing and light.

(a great gift from Zathrus13. Thank you!!) Hazy yellow body and a big foamy head. Lots of lace. Intense aromas of tart wheat and banana/clove yeast. Good balance between the them. Slight bacon-like aroma, too. Nice smooth beer on the palate. Love the banana-to-wheat ratio in this. Wheat echoes in the finish with some herbal notes. Very nice!

Yellow brew with foamy white head. Aroma is grainy with notes of clove and pear. Maybe a bit of banana. Taste is fizzy clove spice, brew foams in your mouth a bit like ready-whip. Gentle burn in the aftertaste, very mellow finish of tarty, mild bitter. Definitely more of a summer brew. It’s a wheat beer, that’s all I have to say about that.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in Charlotte. Cloudy yellow appearance with an extreme lemon aroma. Flavor was very citrusy with that wheat beer aftertaste and a little bit of carbonation. A good weissbier.
