| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Bottle from NY Sammny. Poured slightly hazy light yellow with an average fizzy white head. Very funky crushed mint hoppy aroma, with wit spice, tobacco ash and citrus - very sharp and fresh. Taste follows, even more lemon, some banana - quite sharply fizzy and astringent mouthfeel - very nice, terific patio beer. Thanks, Sammy! mnurda (439), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Bottle best before June 14, 08 split with Tronraner in a blind hefeweizen tasting. This was the lightest of the four pours with a shimmering, cloudy golden color and excellent head retention. The frothy white head lasted during the entire session. This had deeper spiced notes, second most robust in our little taste, with added emphasis on the citrusy, floral notes. Great balance here of cloves, banana, wheat crackers. Lots of subtle nuances in the flavor as well. This leans more towards a grassy, slightly green take on the style. It’s a nice beer with a well rounded flavor profile. The finish is reasonably tart with a lemon seed aspect. I enjoyed the transition over my palate from juicier flavors to the drying finish. I’d say this was the hoppiest hefe of the night with discernable citrus character. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA

Maltier and fuller than expected, it has nice subtle hints of yeast and fruit (makes me think of dried apricots). Finishes clean and smooth. Good stuff. kevd193213 (519), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
