Commercial Description:
As invigorating as the morning rays of the summer sun, Sunrise Weissbier satisfies when the heat is on, too. This unfiltered, Bavarian style ale is true to its origins with all ingredients except for the water having been imported from Germany. It remains unfiltered to feature the tangy, fruity flavors of its unique yeast. The imported German malt contributes greatly to add a crisp, citric snap that makes this beer a superb summertime refresher.

Haze whitened-yellow. Fluffy and pasty white head shows impressive retention. Uplifting aroma of lemon, pear, straw, and airy phenolics. Fluffy effervescence. Airy and light on its feet with a dense Juicy Fruit core kissed with sweet pear (grit and all) and spicy clove. Pure note of bubblegum emerges fairly late, but hangs around long enough to help pillar the body. Quite juicy and quenching with a pleasant unripe pear acidity and a hint of green banana as well. Malt, however, is grainy and thus fails to impart any significant depth or anything for the subtler flavors to latch onto. Harsh minerals lend a firm bitterness late which compounds the graininess. Wheat-derived starches develop as it warms, and contribute a nutty sweetness. Finishes soft and slickly fruity with green raisin and delicate banana notions, but rather short in length with lingering chalky yeast. A bit muted and slightly grainy, but certainly not as heavily flawed as many other Victory beers tend to be.

Somewhat citrusy aroma, which comes through in the body with a touch of lemon with just enough wheat flavor to balance. A very easy drinking brew.

Not much head, medium cloudy yellowish color. Not much banana, nice cloves. Refreshing, but the Germans are better.

bottle. pale light golden coloured body - not really hazy or remotely cloudy - small white head. light estery aroma with notes of banana, yeast, and pears. nice. some sweet banana flavour though it isn’t all that fruity. medium carbonation. yeasty finish. I think it’s decent for a thirst quencher but doesn’t really hold up against something like Denison’s.

Classic German hefeweizen. Comes out hazy and unfiltered, straw colored with a fluffy white head. Heavy banana and clove nose with a very heavy clove palate. Palate has substance but the beer refreshes. I always enjoy Victory offerings.

Much more of a wit than a hefe. A bit sour with several spices; some citrus. Very cloudy and orange but the head is unimpressive after the waitress went to the trouble of turning the bottle upside down over the glass. A good wheat, but I am surprised to see it in the hefeweizen style.

Thanks to some great trader for sending me this beer…. I apologize for forgetting who… It’s just too may trades done in one month! Well, I guess there is never too much of good beer…

Pours a cloudy blond body with a thick white head. The aroma hints of clove, ripened banana and a buttery and lightly citric doughy yeast. Some hints of biscuit, and lemon peel in the finish… Nice drinkable summer beer!

Cloudy and golden, white head, nose has a presence of coriander and malt. The flavor is clean with some citrus and spice. Good take on the style, but not at all perfect.
