Pours a beautiful hazed lemon yellow with about a fingers worth of white foam that fell quickly. Nose is funky with Belgian yeast and has some bright sweet lemon peel. There’s a tiny bit of spice on the nose too. Taste is simple and graceful. Bright lemon, a bit tart, on a sweet light dry cracker. Sparkling carbonation and a touch of pepper as it finishes. This beer is everything a saison should be. Has a very pleasant hop herbal on the nose and a bit of spice in the drink. As you drink you will find a delightful tartness to offer just a slight bit of pucker. Has plenty of juicy lemon on the palate and a crisp off dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Cat urine aroma. Yeasty, cat urine, spicy flavors. Really not a fan of this.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear bright gold into a tumbler. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Hay, coriander and pepper aromas. Sweet yeast and bandaid upfront turning dry and peppery before the lasting sour marshmallow finish.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Has a bite but very nice. A few flowery aromas and a hint of spice. Just a little bit of perfume.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Wow, a bit different. Starts with basil in the nose. Weird. Appearance is pale and clear, but with nice lacing/head/retention. Taste has more basil, a bit of hops, a bit of sour, not much in the way of funk. Not sure how I feel about this one.

From bottle. Clean yellow in glass. Yeast and coriander on nose. Some pepper. Very dry in mouth. Some help notes. A little tart. Rather basic.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a hazy pale golden yellow body with a two finger white foamy head that sticks around for most of the beer, some light sticky lacing is left in rings.
The smell has a citrus/lemon coming through with some light pepper and a bit of mint shows up after a bit of warming.
The taste has all of those previously mentioned flavors coming through in an earthy flavorful way, earthy aftertaste and finish.
The palate is light to medium, sessionable, adequately carbonated for the style and for me leading to a nice smoothness all around.
Overall, I say this is good for the style and very good to me.

Bottle-purchased at total wine in Springfield, VA march 2014
Pours dark yellow hue with lite haziness and a small fizzy white head. not much to look at here. nose is very spicy-lots of gop, pepper, corriander maybe a pinch of lemongrass. flavors are also very spicy. if this were a full-bodied saison, i would hate it. it shows that there are now so many low-abv beers out there with lots of flavor. big peppery flavors, lite bitterness, with a touch of grains. this is actually very tasty. Even though the rating isnt that high, i think its worthy of a session brew!

On draft at Isaacs. Nice notes of citrus, peach, candy, clove and banana.
Loved the candy / banana aroma. I found this very easy to drink and the finish was crisp.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, light malts, hints of light fruits, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same with a pretty crisp finish. Average texture. A decent beer, but not the best of the style.
