It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a hazy pale golden yellow body with a two finger white foamy head that sticks around for most of the beer, some light sticky lacing is left in rings. The smell has a citrus/lemon coming through with some light pepper and a bit of mint shows up after a bit of warming. The taste has all of those previously mentioned flavors coming through in an earthy flavorful way, earthy aftertaste and finish. The palate is light to medium, sessionable, adequately carbonated for the style and for me leading to a nice smoothness all around. Overall, I say this is good for the style and very good to me.

Bottle-purchased at total wine in Springfield, VA march 2014 Pours dark yellow hue with lite haziness and a small fizzy white head. not much to look at here. nose is very spicy-lots of gop, pepper, corriander maybe a pinch of lemongrass. flavors are also very spicy. if this were a full-bodied saison, i would hate it. it shows that there are now so many low-abv beers out there with lots of flavor. big peppery flavors, lite bitterness, with a touch of grains. this is actually very tasty. Even though the rating isnt that high, i think its worthy of a session brew!

On draft at Isaacs. Nice notes of citrus, peach, candy, clove and banana. Loved the candy / banana aroma. I found this very easy to drink and the finish was crisp.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, light malts, hints of light fruits, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same with a pretty crisp finish. Average texture. A decent beer, but not the best of the style.

Six pack enjoyed with Chipalsa. Nose is light lemon, some spice, yeast, grass. Flavor is dry, with lemongrass, light citrus, a touch of spicy yeast, and some light bread. Good on a saturday night chillin.

This is a very tasty seasonal saison. I really enjoy the lower alcohol of this one. Clean, bright, hoppy. Very good American saison from a great brewery.

Bottle from BOTW. Clear pale golden, fine head. Lemony nose, spicy yeast, light grains and hay. Clean. Clean and citrusy, spicy yeast, crisp, light bready malts. Decent beer, not a whole lot of saison character, but high drinkability. Relatively high carbonation.

12 ounce bottle at Bigelos. Almost clear golden with a smallish off white head. Do I smell a bit of parmesan? Grain and earth, too. Flavor is citrus that has a little bite to it. That grain and soft yeast. Earth is there but is light. The malts are also too soft. A little spiciness cones late. I love the low ABV here but wish the flavor was more robust. It is a trade off, I know.

Light golden ale ....somewhat cloudy. Has a bitter scent with slight sweet hints. Taste is rather bitter although it comes off the palate rather nicely. Palate also reveals spices....I notice what appears to be nutmeg. I'd probably get this again although only a couple of bottles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
