COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy youíll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Pours hazy yellow. Weak grapefruit aroma. Flavor is mostly grapefruit. Not getting much spice here. Maybe the slightest touch of nutmeg in the finish. Donít really know where they get off calling this a saison. Itís ok. I can see why some hopheads might like this (but probably think itís too weak)

Draft at 33 West Ale House & Grill. Poured Yellow, hazy, nice white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is fruity and floral, some hops in there too. Taste is malty, kind of bready, there are some spices in there too, very sweet with a bit of bitterness towards the end. Nice and very drinkable beer.

Pours golden with a white head. Yeast, earthy notes, spices. The spices were a little overwhelming. They dominated the taste. I couldn't even finish it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2013 Had again today, this time froma bottle, not bad at first but has a strong astringent aftertaste. raised from a 1.9 to 2. old rating: On tap at mad mex. Creamy head. Slight perfume aroma. Quite bitter, almost like an IPA. Chewing on green grapefruit rinds manifests itself on the back of the throat. Same with finish. Not impressed. Some mild co2. Was expecting something a little more saison like.

12oz bottle. Potentially filtered yellow-tan, thin white head. A spice bomb in flavor, but delicate and light in body. Big aggressive lemongrass perfume notes, maybe some brett underneath. Herbal pine-sol. This is by no means a beer Iíd want to session on, maybe before the spices. Delicate great malt body harshed.

Pale yellow with massive, creamy, white head, fine legs / Piquant nose of bologna, weed, orchard fruit, spice / Light body, creamy, lovely balance with fine bitter finish / Interesting, stylish flavors of bologna, weed, dandelion, orange peel, clove, coriander / A very appealing, different, saison, and a great summer session beer.

Flowery bouquet of yeast grass and citrus. Bubbly yellow, good head retention. Dry pollenated bitter flavor, some citrus mixed in. Body is light and very dry. A hop oriented saison, what one expects for Victoryís take on a Belgian style.

MadRobin (2034) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 8, 2013
On tap at Always Ron's in Hagerstown, MD. Clear, yellow-amber with an off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit, pine, floral perfume and mild earthy hops. Taste of floral hops, earthy herbs and spice, year and pine. Much hoppier, or at least less malty, than your typical saison. Medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big meringue white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is fruits and funk with some piney, floral hops and perfumey spices.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little funky fruit and some spices (corriander, pepper) and a good sized piney floral bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, Iím not sure Iíd call it a saison. But I like it as a session beer with good bitterness and some funk.
