Itís a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy youíll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

The body is transparent and pale straw with a little over an inch of fluffy white head. the aroma brings hops, funk, farm, sunshine, lemons, lemon rind, grass, a touch of spice. Nice floral notes and hops. Light and refreshing. Iím really digging the light body and low alcohol. A thirst quencher of a beer, and packed with flavor. Iíll have no trouble with this sixer and definitely see this as a repeat purchase for hot weather beer consumption, i.e. lawnmowing beer.

I like this beer. Itís definitely very spicy but not so much that I donít it. It makes me think of what a farmhouse ale might have tasted like before hops became the norm and gruit was still used. Not my favorite but good none the less

Bottle. Slightly hazy, bright yellow pour. Aroma is citrus, coriander, band aid. Light bodied and spritzy carbonation. Mild Brett flavors dominate, citrus, leather, rubber, hay, tart lemon. Has a solid peppery finish with good bitterness. Packs a lot of flavor for 4.5%. Glad i got a sixer.

Draft at blue monk. Straw colored pour. Minor floral notes in aroma. Lots of floral flavors, pot pourri, citrus zest, grassy notes. Perfume. Good medium mouthfeel. Nice saison

Pours a light almost clear yellow with a thinly producing creamed head. Aromas of bubblegum mixed with pine(! strangely cool mix!), coriander, hay, and an mixed note of grapefruit. Flavors of hay/straw, light pine, slight ginger, and hints of coriander. Refreshing! Lightly spicy, medium bitter aftertaste, semi-dry, watery on palate. Great for a hot spring or summer day if you can wait that long. . .

Smells like a Hefe. Pale yellow with extra fizz. Kind of a weird smell. Still good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Massive three finger cappuccino foam white head on a hazy light bright yellow orange. Spicy, peppery, floral and a tad yeasty in the aroma. Way too much spice in the flavor, white peppercorn, and a bit of grass. Lighter soft chalky body. Meh

Draft. Hazy pale yellow color, almost no head. Aroma of white pepper and straw. Bitter and lager like with no detectable barnyard or orher saison characteristics.

12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a hazed, light straw-hued body with a medium-small, white head. Smell: Fragrant citrus shrouds the particularly pale maltiness, with bits of grain-flecked dough with subtle florals and a melange of spiciness. Taste: Pils malts, hints of other such grains sprinkled with a fine dusting of powdered sugar. Floral hints meld into citrus notes from the hops and citrus fruit additions which shimmy into a spiciness from the yeast, peppercorns, and hops, aided by the crisp carbonation. Dry, spicy finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation for a lively, zippy mouthfeel. Overall: Iíd always thought the Victory V / Helios Ale saison was a bit too chewy for me, bodywise. This new Swing Session Saison is bright, light, and refreshing.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, fluffy white head, with some lacing, over a very slightly hazy yellow (SRM 3) body....nose is cereal, light lemon, hints of allspice.....taste is light lemon, allspice, leading to a dry, moderately bitter, slightly peppery finish....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds light acid tingle. This falls well within this very broad style. It is low in ABV, and is a bit too hazy, but has a nice clean, refreshing finish. Complexity in aroma is low, but the flavors are well on.
