Slightly hazy yellow pour wihth a nice white head. Slightly floral nose with hints of grassiness. Floral notes also in the taste, hops and then lots of bitterness on the finish. I donít taste any of the fruit character that others seem to be getting.

Pint at Flipside on 5/6/13. Clear gold pour with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, herbs, Belgian yeast and pepper. Malty and herbal flavor with peppery and slight banana yeast before a dry finish. Pretty nice for a session saison.

Pours a hazy light straw color. Nose of some spice and citrus. Light and refreshing, some nice spices and citrus notes.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, banana, coriander, floral notes, and pepper. It smells like a Witbier. It pours a transparent dull gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a soapy ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus with a touch of banana. The finish has moderate floral hops, coriander, pepper, and a touch of lemon/lemon peel. Itís light bodied with moderate-heavy carbonation. Overall, it seems like a moderately hopped (floral) Witbier.. Itís not bad, but itís not what I want in a Saison or Wit.

Decent. Pours hazy and yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet citrus hops. Smooth, easy drinking, slight hip finish.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, biscuit, some dull grass, earthy notes, slight vanilla, cracker malts as well. Taste is sweet vanilla, biscuit, into some slight lemon, fruity grape notes, kind of dull and mashed together into some grass and earth, finishing dry. Just ok.

Bottle from Samís, Durham. All hail the session brew trend. Nicely lemonade-y pour, moderately cloudy, could almost pass for a Berliner crossed with a singel (the fluffy head of the latter gives this one away as farmhouse). Nice nose, citrus wakeup call and spice/yeast to complement. Full bodied, nicely spicy in places on the palate, I was pleased that the herbs didnít get too assertive, allowing the more bitter and lightly hopped qualities to shine through. Well done. I should get some more.

Pours lightly hazy yellow with a thin head. Citrus and spice with a somewhat bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a clear and bright straw gold body with a one inch frothy white head that faded to a thin wispy film. The nose comes across as a bit overly spiced with some nice perfume like qualities, light hay, and floral hops. The flavor is a bit too spicy and peppery for my tastes, thereís not much malt or softness from the yeast. Itís very light and thin in texture with fizzy prickly carbonation. I suppose that it is pretty sessionable, but itís really not what I want from a Saison at all. It comes across as too clean and sterile with too much of the flavor derived from added spices instead of from a good Saison yeast.
