12 oz, chilled, poured into a pint glass. Pours a light straw color with a smallish crisp white head that dissipates almost immediately though small bubbles rise continuously. Aroma is a mixture of grass, barnyard, clear lemony citrus tones, and a nice hit of pilsner malts. The grassiness comes through in the taste along with some lemon followed by some piney notes hidden in the bitter. The finish is crisp and dry with a little bitterness.

Rated on 02-28-2013 at Victory B.C. This beer is presented with a small white head that is mostly lasting, transparent pale yellow body, fast rising carbonation observed, and a fair amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is citrus, earthy hops, spicy, yeast, and malt. The flavor is citrus hops, yeast, spicy, caramel malt, and light bitter. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A very quaffable saison and worth trying.

November 27, 2014. Bottle at home. Hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet malty, citrus, spicy and chlorine. Taste is juniper berries, pine, chlorine and honey. Finish is short with notes of pine spruce, smooth light bodied, small bubble carbonation.

No way this is a saison - tastes like a sour ale from start to finish. It’s not a bad sour ale, thought. Just wish it wasn’t so watery to let the nice lemon and seltzer flavors come through more.

THOUGHTS: A little disappointed with this one. Just because something is low in alcohol, doesn’t mean its sessionable. It has to be easy to drink too; and this definitely isn’t easy to drink. It was interesting and complex but there was way too much going on flavor-wise for such a light body. TECHNICAL: Drank 3/29/2013. Bottle. Poured a sparkling, light, golden yellow with an average, slightly off-white head that kept a nice sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma had light white bread and pale malt; light grassy hops; moderate musty, dusty and cobweb-like yeast; pepper and other spices; lemon; lime; and orange. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, moderately bitter and heavily acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, heavily bitter and nearly harshly acidic. There was lemon, orange, pale malt, crackers, white bread, earthy yeast, metallic hops, spices, slightly funky yeast, grassy hops, citrus pith and rind. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and metallic finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Lemon and spicy citrus on the nose, grain and musk. Medium bodied, lemon and musk. Spicy yeast into the finish. Very tasty.

Hazy gold appearance with a small white head and decent lacing. Aroma of yeast and an array of spices in a field of grain. Dry, tart, earthy flavor with notes of lemongrass, pepper and citrus and a defined spicy aftertaste. Medium bodied mouthfeel with lively carbonation and a short lived finish.

On tap at TAP in Atlanta. Tried this beer because wanted to have something relatively low alcohol. Was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and body. Typical saison aroma and taste - belgian yeast, spice, citrus. Nice and crisp. Good session beer.

"Pretty thin and very light, but with a lively mouthfeel and a lot of refreshing citrus in the nose and flavor on top of light but noticeable saison earthy spice. Not great, but quite pleasant."

Transfer from BA reveiw on 3-27-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – Pours a lightly hazed golden yellow color with a big billowy white head. The head initially fades very fast, but then slows its fade and lingers a bit. Once the head is completely faded (after about 4 min) a decent level of lace is left on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of wheat, yeast, grass and some haylike funk. Mixed with these are notes of pepper, coriander and nutmeg as well; overall a fairly drier smelling traditional saison. Taste – The taste starts out of a medium wheaty flavor as well as some flavors of a light citrus. As the taste advances yeast and the spices detected in the nose, come to the tongue with the orange citrus transitioning more toward a lemon flavor. As the orange transitions to lemon, the bready flavors lighten and haylike and grassy flavors enter the taste. These flavors all take the taste its end, where the funky and hay flavors get even stronger in nature producing a somewhat bitter and a bit unbalanced grassy and astringent haylike funky flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is thin in its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are nice for making a crisp feeling brew and suit well the lighter session saison profile that the beer is going for. Overall – The initial tastes, mouthfeel, and look were all very nice, but the finish to the taste, with its big funky, grassy, haylike, and bitter flavors weren’t balanced out by enough wheaty/bready flavors/body.

Light very cloudy yellow pour with inch of bright fluffy head. Waxy crayon, yeasty scent; bright lemon and pear scent, strong cloves, a bit buttery, clementines. Average carbonation, medium slightly watery body, clean peppery finish. Taste full of lemon and funky pepper, bitter yet smooth. Nice assertive tasting but light bodied saison.
