COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy youíll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

Hazy gold. Surprising bit of hop aroma. Definite bit of funk from the yeast. Fairly dry in the finish.

The body is transparent and pale straw with a little over an inch of fluffy white head. the aroma brings hops, funk, farm, sunshine, lemons, lemon rind, grass, a touch of spice. Nice floral notes and hops. Light and refreshing. Iím really digging the light body and low alcohol. A thirst quencher of a beer, and packed with flavor. Iíll have no trouble with this sixer and definitely see this as a repeat purchase for hot weather beer consumption, i.e. lawnmowing beer.

November 27, 2014. Bottle at home. Hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet malty, citrus, spicy and chlorine. Taste is juniper berries, pine, chlorine and honey. Finish is short with notes of pine spruce, smooth light bodied, small bubble carbonation.

maekchu (3460) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 14, 2013
Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits in Athens. Sweet íní sour initial, with some light funk and peach-lemon juice. Nearly clear, pear juice, little head. Light sweet initial / mid has a bit of barn and some sort of spice / finish is gently bitter and moves to grass notes. Light body. Okay. Has some decent saison character. Very light-bodied stuff.

Bottle. Pale golden with billowing white head. I found the aroma offensive at first, like lemon scented cleaning products. Itís growing on me though, lemon and lime, sherbet, bret. Taste is a bit effed up too, lemon, citrus, plastic. Slightly tart and dry.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Hazy pale golden body with a thick white head. Lively carbonation. Great lacing. Aroma of vine tomatoes, lemons, cardamom and bay leaf. Refreshing flavour of mint, cucumber, grass and pink grapefruit. Thin body with a watery texture. Sharp fizz. Crisp and delicious.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, fluffy white head, with some lacing, over a very slightly hazy yellow (SRM 3) body....nose is cereal, light lemon, hints of allspice.....taste is light lemon, allspice, leading to a dry, moderately bitter, slightly peppery finish....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds light acid tingle. This falls well within this very broad style. It is low in ABV, and is a bit too hazy, but has a nice clean, refreshing finish. Complexity in aroma is low, but the flavors are well on. BJCP 7/2/14/4/7

Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - APR 14, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a hazy greenish dark yellow with a nice head of loose, small bubbles. The nose is zesty with nice grass and saison yeast notes, perhaps a little lemon peel and hay. Spritely on the tongue with lots of green grass, a little green apple peel, lemon pith, and green peppercorn. Light body with a fairly clean finish. Somewhere between De Ranke XX Bitter and Saison du Buff flavor wise. Very solid stuff.
