3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Six pack from DeBucas. Pours out a light lemony color with a white frothy head. Light bubbly carbonation. Light citrus and yeasty aromas. Flavor is good. Very refreshing brew. Goes down easy. Clean, crisp finish. Highly under-rated.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very average saison. Aromas of honey and citrus. Maybe a touch of funk too. A touch of sour and bitter. Almost tastes like a pale lager. Meh.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Huge spicy perfumey lemon basil nose. Gold color with nice lace. Light bready malt. More lemon and spices. Soft mouthfeel. Basil finish. Lemon rind bitterness. Tastes good but a little fake.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy yellow with a big, puffy white head. Major carbonation.
Aroma is orange and lemon. Belgian witbier funk/sweetness, with just a hint of that sour Saison stuff. Perfumey as hell. Also has an actual malt backbone. Grassy and yet with a touch of bready caramel malts. Iím really REALLY impressed with the scent.
Taste is more of a Belgian golden ale, with more of a barley malt than a wheat malt. The taste is a little flatter than the aroma would suggest but still pleasant enough. Doesnít have the "punch" to it that the aroma has.
Very bubbly and fizzy on the palate; prickly. This is a very summery citrus flavor, light enough for a hot day but not bereft of flavors.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big meringue white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is fruits and funk with some piney, floral hops and perfumey spices.
The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little funky fruit and some spices (corriander, pepper) and a good sized piney floral bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, Iím not sure Iíd call it a saison. But I like it as a session beer with good bitterness and some funk.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Best before July 27, 2013.
Appearance: A tall and fluffy white head is perched on a slightly cloudy pale golden body. The head has excellent retention and is as dense as cream. Spotty lacing is left on the glass as it dissipates.
Aroma: The aroma is bright with lemon, straw, light spices and leather. This smells great, it reminds me of Spring.
Taste: This follows the aroma nicely with a bright lemon flavor that provides a slight tartness with some leather overlying the lemon that finishes dry. The lemon lingers on the tongue for a bit a touch tart and dry with a slight lingering spice. This is a bit reminiscent of sucking on a lemon.
Palate: Medium bodied with a creamy full texture, soft carbonation.
Overall: This is an outstanding session beer. There is no sacrifice in taste. If this were $7 for a 6 pack this would be all I would drink until itís gone for the season. This is still priced nicely at $9 for a 6 pack, I just wish it came out a few months later.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma of spice, yeast, citrus, and hay. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow with a mostly lasting white heíd and abundant lacing. The taste, chiefly, has a light bitterness to it. Flavors of coriander, citrus, with peppery notes and a hint of earthy barnyard in the dry finish. There is a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Medium-light body with crisp carbonation. Overall, a nice Saison. Should go well with any number of dishes.
