COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a slightly hazy pale yellow with a big, fluffy white head. Silky & soft. Vibrant herbal aroma of German Thyme, Rosemary, and maybe Savory along with a lemon citrus note. The body is smooth and medium. The taste has a good pale malt quality to it along with those full flavored herbs, citrus, and yeasty bread. An all around fascinating beer.

Pours a clear to slightly cloudy well carbonated golden color with a solid off white head. Aroma is of lots of earthy/pepper notes, sawdust, citrus zest, mild bitterness. Taste is of pepper, earth, citrus, mild bitterness, hay, spice, light dry yeast on the finish.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Lukaduke (2968) - Gray, Maine, USA - APR 12, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of fizzy foam. The nose is a bit dirty with a peppery diaper like spice that dissipates slowly as the beer warms. The palate is crisper than the nose would have lead me to believe and confirms that it is a solid drinker and not a drainpour... Earthy yeast profile with traces of pepper and citrus to add a slight complexity. Not bad but Ill stick with the Helios over this anytime.... although the lower alcohol levels in this make is a plausible session beer.

Draught at bar. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, orange peels, earthy notes, grapefruit and some peppers. Dry bitter finish with citrus. Nice saison.

Wow, a bit different. Starts with basil in the nose. Weird. Appearance is pale and clear, but with nice lacing/head/retention. Taste has more basil, a bit of hops, a bit of sour, not much in the way of funk. Not sure how I feel about this one.

Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave light lacing. Aroma of spice, wheat, and a slight funk. Taste follows, slight bitter finish, clean and slightly tart. Good saison, but nothing that exciting

Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - APR 30, 2014
On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Light pour with a big white head. Aroma is pineapple, grain, and floor cleaner. Taste is chemicals, orange, and more cleaner.

Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is a soapy detergent lemon thing going on. It smells like Orval! This is very dry yet yeasty with a sharp lemon flavor that is slightly sour but very bitter and dry. Oh I see what you are doing Victory you are trying to make an Orval clone. Congrats you did just that! Strip away the name this is way higher rated than it currently is. Overall Im giving a bit above Orval for the balls to do this! Cheers!

Yellow orange in color... Light citrusy lemon aroma... Crisp flavor, spicy on the finish, gentle citrus notes throughout... Solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
