It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

12oz bottle - pours hazy pale gold with small white head. Nose is lemon peel and floral. Sip adds straw. Sticky. Light mouthfeel for the style. Not too spicy or yeasty. Sessionable? Yes.

Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is a soapy detergent lemon thing going on. It smells like Orval! This is very dry yet yeasty with a sharp lemon flavor that is slightly sour but very bitter and dry. Oh I see what you are doing Victory you are trying to make an Orval clone. Congrats you did just that! Strip away the name this is way higher rated than it currently is. Overall Im giving a bit above Orval for the balls to do this! Cheers!

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is very interesting, orange, citrus, peppery. The flavor is husky, peppery, spicy. This is thin and astringent, lacks complexity.

On tap at Always Ron's in Hagerstown, MD. Clear, yellow-amber with an off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit, pine, floral perfume and mild earthy hops. Taste of floral hops, earthy herbs and spice, year and pine. Much hoppier, or at least less malty, than your typical saison. Medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a slightly cloudy, pale golden yellow color with a two finger frothy white head that has pretty good retention, only slowly fading into a thick, lasting ring. Large streaks of soapy lacing left behind. The aroma reminds me more of a wheat beer. There is some subtle grassy barnyard character but the dominant notes are peppery spice, bready yeast, banana and citrus. Only slightly earthy with pepper, clove and coriander followed by a strong wheat/bread like presence, lemon juice and citrus zest. Fuller bodied than expected and a bit more like a saison than the nose suggests but it still feels and tastes more like a witbier/American wheat beer. Subtle earthy funky with lots of zesty spice up front followed by bread/yeast, banana and citrus juice. Coriander and clove flavor with lemon zest, wheat, light fruit and lemon peel. Crisp, light, refreshing and easy to drink but I don’t think anyone would say that this is a saison in a blind tasting. Not bad but reminds me of a mediocre American wheat beer.

Draft at Moriartys. Slightly hazy honey gold pour with a large frothy white head. Feels like a very full wheat beer off the top but has a notable spicy citrus hop bite in the finish. Puffed wheat and black pepper. Bit unusual.

On draft at Isaacs. Nice notes of citrus, peach, candy, clove and banana. Loved the candy / banana aroma. I found this very easy to drink and the finish was crisp.

Bottle. Pour is a cloudy gold with a medium head and intriguing aromas of orange and lemon zest, white pepper and a little hay. Flavor is similar but clean and refreshing. It has quite a bit if zingy citrus to it which makes it pretty interesting and just enough spice to give it a little bite. I liked this beer quite a bit, especially considering the low abv.
