COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

This has been my go-to beer as of late. Sessionable is the key although it does start to get a bit estery after a few.

Transfer from BA reveiw on 3-27-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – Pours a lightly hazed golden yellow color with a big billowy white head. The head initially fades very fast, but then slows its fade and lingers a bit. Once the head is completely faded (after about 4 min) a decent level of lace is left on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of wheat, yeast, grass and some haylike funk. Mixed with these are notes of pepper, coriander and nutmeg as well; overall a fairly drier smelling traditional saison. Taste – The taste starts out of a medium wheaty flavor as well as some flavors of a light citrus. As the taste advances yeast and the spices detected in the nose, come to the tongue with the orange citrus transitioning more toward a lemon flavor. As the orange transitions to lemon, the bready flavors lighten and haylike and grassy flavors enter the taste. These flavors all take the taste its end, where the funky and hay flavors get even stronger in nature producing a somewhat bitter and a bit unbalanced grassy and astringent haylike funky flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is thin in its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are nice for making a crisp feeling brew and suit well the lighter session saison profile that the beer is going for. Overall – The initial tastes, mouthfeel, and look were all very nice, but the finish to the taste, with its big funky, grassy, haylike, and bitter flavors weren’t balanced out by enough wheaty/bready flavors/body.

aside from a peppery snap in the middle of the flavor, this wasnt particularly memorable. too much for up front piney hops to be a saison too. not a good example of the style.

Bottle poured a golden color with a covering of white head that hung on well. Aroma has grains, spices, and herbs. Mouth feel is medium and there is medium low carbonation. Flavor leads in with spice and herbs while there is a grainy Saison underneath. I thought from the fruit looking thing on the label there would be some citrus or peach or something in the beer.

Aroma is great with good black pepper, rosemary and orange peel. Pours golden amber with a huge sudsy head. Taste is very spicy with the black pepper forward and a nice dry herbal bread finish. A fantastic session beer from victory.

12oz bottle poured golden yellow with just a touch of haze. White head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. The aroma was of some undetermined spice notes and citrus. The aromas were light in nature. The flavor is a light to medium evervescent blend of those spice mixes and citrus possibly lemon with some yeasty funk but its not overpowering. Overall a pretty good flavor and this is one you could easily drink a few. There is a lot of carbonation with this beer as well.

Pale yellow with massive, creamy, white head, fine legs / Piquant nose of bologna, weed, orchard fruit, spice / Light body, creamy, lovely balance with fine bitter finish / Interesting, stylish flavors of bologna, weed, dandelion, orange peel, clove, coriander / A very appealing, different, saison, and a great summer session beer.

White pillow foamy head, hazy golden yellow body. Floral aroma, earth, yeast and mild bitterness. At 4.5% alcohol, it’s a great session beer.

Poured two fingers of head on a hazy, light straw colored body. It has a pleasant aroma of grain and citrus. The taste is mellow but good. A little spice and Belgian candy sweetness with a mild citrus bitter finish. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. A solid session saison.
