It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Hazy gold appearance with a small white head and decent lacing. Aroma of yeast and an array of spices in a field of grain. Dry, tart, earthy flavor with notes of lemongrass, pepper and citrus and a defined spicy aftertaste. Medium bodied mouthfeel with lively carbonation and a short lived finish.

Draft at two stones.... Pours a cloudy bright yellow, slight orange tint. Decent little head. Nice nose of spices, earthy, flowers, camomile and some hops. Taste is the sames, spices, flowers, grains, floral notes, camomile, little citrus lime taste..... slight hoppiness in the after taste to balance it. Body is light, fluffy and really easy to drink. Decent stuff....

Pours a semi clear light golden yellow with a small head. Nose is grass and wild outdoor spices. Taste is lemony, yeasty and full of spice. Obviously, very drinkable, but it is a session beer. Different but one time only. Finish is spicy as well, with lingering citrus. Quaff Score 6 / 10

Best before July 27, 2013.
Appearance: A tall and fluffy white head is perched on a slightly cloudy pale golden body. The head has excellent retention and is as dense as cream. Spotty lacing is left on the glass as it dissipates.
Aroma: The aroma is bright with lemon, straw, light spices and leather. This smells great, it reminds me of Spring.
Taste: This follows the aroma nicely with a bright lemon flavor that provides a slight tartness with some leather overlying the lemon that finishes dry. The lemon lingers on the tongue for a bit a touch tart and dry with a slight lingering spice. This is a bit reminiscent of sucking on a lemon.
Palate: Medium bodied with a creamy full texture, soft carbonation.
Overall: This is an outstanding session beer. There is no sacrifice in taste. If this were $7 for a 6 pack this would be all I would drink until it’s gone for the season. This is still priced nicely at $9 for a 6 pack, I just wish it came out a few months later.

THOUGHTS: A little disappointed with this one. Just because something is low in alcohol, doesn’t mean its sessionable. It has to be easy to drink too; and this definitely isn’t easy to drink. It was interesting and complex but there was way too much going on flavor-wise for such a light body. TECHNICAL: Drank 3/29/2013. Bottle. Poured a sparkling, light, golden yellow with an average, slightly off-white head that kept a nice sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma had light white bread and pale malt; light grassy hops; moderate musty, dusty and cobweb-like yeast; pepper and other spices; lemon; lime; and orange. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, moderately bitter and heavily acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, heavily bitter and nearly harshly acidic. There was lemon, orange, pale malt, crackers, white bread, earthy yeast, metallic hops, spices, slightly funky yeast, grassy hops, citrus pith and rind. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and metallic finish.

Flowery bouquet of yeast grass and citrus. Bubbly yellow, good head retention. Dry pollenated bitter flavor, some citrus mixed in. Body is light and very dry. A hop oriented saison, what one expects for Victory’s take on a Belgian style.

On tap at Global Brew. This is just what the name implies: a sessionable Begian Saison. Pours a bright yellow with a thin but retentive white head. Fruit and spice aroma. Taste is everything you like in a Belgian ale but w/o the sometimes cloying sweetness and higher ABV. This exhibits sweet pale malt, a fresh fruitiness, some grassiness and a bit of pepper, coriander and other spices. Clean and crisp; goes down easy. Good effort.

Mild lemon and earthy aroma. Pours a hazy light yellow with almost no head. Light crisp flavor, with a touch of earthy notes and citrus. Very easy drinking, and a nice session beer.
