3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2013 12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy light golden with a white head. Light weight saison with flavors of lemon, pepper and water. Yes water. Very simple and light saison thatís not to bad but is a bit too on the watery side for this guy.
7-23-13: Tried this again and like it alot better. Yes it is lightweight and somewhat watery but for 4.5 really not bad and hitting the spot tonight. This time Iím getting alot of pear and clove notes. Same beer. Different day. Different beer.

Aromas of cardamom, herbs, ginger, and lemon peel. Straw-like complexion with a slight haze, and a mostly fading, white head. Dry, very floral, perfume-like, and somewhat spicy. Light bodied with lively carbonation, and a clean finish with lingering cardamom-like flavors.

Spices overwhelm grain taste---but were tasty. Very clear for a saison. Average head and body. Lots of flavor for a session brew!

Aroma is great with good black pepper, rosemary and orange peel. Pours golden amber with a huge sudsy head. Taste is very spicy with the black pepper forward and a nice dry herbal bread finish. A fantastic session beer from victory.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a semi clear light golden yellow with a small head. Nose is grass and wild outdoor spices. Taste is lemony, yeasty and full of spice. Obviously, very drinkable, but it is a session beer. Different but one time only. Finish is spicy as well, with lingering citrus. Quaff Score 6 / 10

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle. Pale yellow, with a small, bubbly, white head. The aroma is lemons, hay, and some dusty, barnyard notes. The flavor is sweet and musty up front, with a bitter and sour finish. The palate is light to medium, astringent, dry, and a little grainy. Overall, this is a surprisingly funky and dry American saison, but the aftertaste is long, sour, and unpleasant.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a bright yellow with two-finger foamy white head that retains some lace. Good looking beer. Yeasty bread like aroma with secondary spices. A little bit of farmhouse funk in the flavor. Some citrus, mostly lemon. Very yeasty. Light bodied and fizzy palate. No real aftertaste. Refreshing. Picked up a six for $8.00 at The Beer Store. Went back for, alas, it was gone.
