COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

Bottle put pale yellow. Nose Belgian yeast, ester, and spice. Taste citrus, lemon, clove, Belgian yeast. Nice bite for a session ale.

Bottle. Slightly hazy, bright yellow pour. Aroma is citrus, coriander, band aid. Light bodied and spritzy carbonation. Mild Brett flavors dominate, citrus, leather, rubber, hay, tart lemon. Has a solid peppery finish with good bitterness. Packs a lot of flavor for 4.5%. Glad i got a sixer.

12oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with a one finger white head. Lots of tiny bubbles keep the head around for awhile but there are just a few spots of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass. The aroma has quite a bit of sulphur in it which was interesting and not in a good way. Also a little skunkyness. Lemon along with some clove and banana that lets you know this is a Saison. Thankfully the sulphur is pretty much absent from the flavor and what is left are the typical Belgian banana and clove but not quite as prominent as in other Saisons I have had. A little lemon and orange is thrown in there too with some bready grain underneath. Mouthfeel is not as dry as I was hoping for with some noticeable stickyness left on the finish. This suprised me given the low strength of this beer. Overall, this is a solid offering from Victory but not exciting at all. A pretty tame beer although it does make for a great thirst quencher.

Pours a slightly cloudy light yellow with a foamy white head. Lemon, spice, yeast aroma. Good carbonation, fizzy mouthfeel with a very slightly bitter lemon peel finish. Light, citrusy, refreshing body. Yeast takes a back seat to the fruit making it quite light and refreshing.

Tap at Sunswick. Poured a thin clear yellow. Nose has some spice hint of hops. Light spice notes in an easy drinker that has a hint of hops. Pretty pleasant.

Pours a light almost clear yellow with a thinly producing creamed head. Aromas of bubblegum mixed with pine(! strangely cool mix!), coriander, hay, and an mixed note of grapefruit. Flavors of hay/straw, light pine, slight ginger, and hints of coriander. Refreshing! Lightly spicy, medium bitter aftertaste, semi-dry, watery on palate. Great for a hot spring or summer day if you can wait that long. . .

This is a very light saison with a touch of pepper and citrus. Just a hint of belgian yeast, but this is more like a classic summer ale with a touch of belgian.

Poured from a bottle it is a clear golden color highly effervescent with a slight head. The aroma is of wheat and the taste is very peppery and has a strong bitter aftertaste

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, citrus zest, yeast, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with strong citrus zest and spice flavors on the finish. There is a high amount of spice bitterness that lingers on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable but the smell is much better than the taste in my opinion.
