3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big meringue white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is fruits and funk with some piney, floral hops and perfumey spices.
The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little funky fruit and some spices (corriander, pepper) and a good sized piney floral bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I’m not sure I’d call it a saison. But I like it as a session beer with good bitterness and some funk.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma of spice, yeast, citrus, and hay. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow with a mostly lasting white he’d and abundant lacing. The taste, chiefly, has a light bitterness to it. Flavors of coriander, citrus, with peppery notes and a hint of earthy barnyard in the dry finish. There is a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Medium-light body with crisp carbonation. Overall, a nice Saison. Should go well with any number of dishes.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at two stones.... Pours a cloudy bright yellow, slight orange tint. Decent little head. Nice nose of spices, earthy, flowers, camomile and some hops. Taste is the sames, spices, flowers, grains, floral notes, camomile, little citrus lime taste..... slight hoppiness in the after taste to balance it. Body is light, fluffy and really easy to drink. Decent stuff....

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle, pours hazy golden brown with a bubbly head. Carbonation is lively. At first the nose came across as vegatal with even a bit of washing up liquid but once in the mouth the more nuanced fruity aromas come out, lemon, lychee and fizzy orangeade, with coriander and spice, quite complex and a bit unusual saison, finish is crisp and dry bitter.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Enjoy by: 07/21/13. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a skim of a beige head. A zesty aroma of citrus rinds, oranges, pineapples, bananas, bubblegum, candi sugar, cloves, nutmeg, light coriander, pepper, and a sizable yeastiness. Semi-sweet upfront taste-wise with a little candi sugar and bubblegum. Some cereal grains and zesty citrus rinds follow. Spicy. Yeasty. Kinda tangy. More than a few dashes of pepper in the moderately dry finish. Very enjoyable and very sessionable for a saison.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Flowery bouquet of yeast grass and citrus. Bubbly yellow, good head retention. Dry pollenated bitter flavor, some citrus mixed in. Body is light and very dry. A hop oriented saison, what one expects for Victory’s take on a Belgian style.

Bottle into a fluted glass. Clear hay with a thick white head. Aroma is spicy, citrus, white bread. Taste is like a fizzy grapefruit cocktail. Lots of spice, citrus, pine, mint. A bit thin. Definitely easy drinking.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
THOUGHTS: A little disappointed with this one. Just because something is low in alcohol, doesn’t mean its sessionable. It has to be easy to drink too; and this definitely isn’t easy to drink. It was interesting and complex but there was way too much going on flavor-wise for such a light body.
TECHNICAL: Drank 3/29/2013. Bottle. Poured a sparkling, light, golden yellow with an average, slightly off-white head that kept a nice sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma had light white bread and pale malt; light grassy hops; moderate musty, dusty and cobweb-like yeast; pepper and other spices; lemon; lime; and orange. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, moderately bitter and heavily acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, heavily bitter and nearly harshly acidic. There was lemon, orange, pale malt, crackers, white bread, earthy yeast, metallic hops, spices, slightly funky yeast, grassy hops, citrus pith and rind. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and metallic finish.
