Thanks Jeff for the pour. A crisp golden apple color. Very fresh grassy smell. Very refreshing taste. Very drinkable. A nice peppery background. A unique funky flavor that is definitely slammable.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours clear yellowish-gold with a white head. Taste lemon, peppery, crisp. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Slightly hazy straw gold color topped by a small bubbly white head. Fragrant lemony malt aroma has hints of coriander and hay. Dryish citrus malt flavor with notes of wheat, yeast, more coriander and grassy hops. Their is an underlying funky, sulphury earthiness that adds a uniqueness to this ale. Finishes crisp and dry with atouch of lemon peel.

Bottle. Golden pour with a small, white head. Spicy and yeasty aroma with notes of hay, citrus, florals and earthy/herbal hops. Similar flavors and finish. Light and easy drinking.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a mildly hazed straw color. The head is a fluffy two finger white shade that collapses pretty quickly, but leaves nice lacing on the glass. S: There is a decent amount of complexity here for a 4.5% saison. I pick up coriander, orange peel, grassy hops, sage, and black pepper. However, thereís also a vegetal green pepper note thatís detracting - and even worse, it gets stronger as it warms up. T: This is weird. It opens up fairly citrusy - which I like - but ends on both a watery and a vegetal note. Decent (if overdone) spicing in the middle gives way to a bell pepper finish that really rubs me the wrong way. The flavor profile sorely lacks balance and cohesion. M: Very clean and dry, which I like. Very astringent too, which I donít. This beer seemingly parches the palate excessively in the name of drinkability. Ah well, the latter is good, at least. O: Swing...and a miss. This one was quite disappointing, considering Victory makes another saison thatís really damn good. And itís another damning reminder that they really need to put Helios in 6-packs!

From a 12 oz into a pint glass. Pours a hazy yellow with cloudy white head and mild aroma of tree and pollen. Mouthfeel is light as expected wit strong carbonation. Taste is fairly herby with chamomile predominating. Lemon rind too. Overall an ok Saison but nothing great and certainly doesn't rise to the level of Victory Helios. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong, spicy, funky aroma with notes of hay and barnyard. Crystal clear pale yellow with a finely laced and foamy white head. The spicy aroma comes into vivid detail in the taste with white pepper, coriander and lavendar tastes along side a lemony citrus flavor. The barnyard Brett funkiness shows up too, subtly at first and then growing stronger. Finishes dry and very lightly sweet with a lasting Brett funk. Wow, this is not what I was expecting! Very surprising and tasty!
