COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy youíll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

12oz bottle. Potentially filtered yellow-tan, thin white head. A spice bomb in flavor, but delicate and light in body. Big aggressive lemongrass perfume notes, maybe some brett underneath. Herbal pine-sol. This is by no means a beer Iíd want to session on, maybe before the spices. Delicate great malt body harshed.

Let me preface this review by saying that I went in really wanting to love this beer - given the quality of helios, who wouldnít? - by the middle of my first bottle, I was trying really hard just to like it - now, by the middle of my second bottle, I am trying hard not to hate it - first of all, it is not a saison - it is a dry wit - usually, I can be forgiving of adjunct-laden saisons - I had a local one recently that had quite a few adjuncts, but still managed to be quite tasty - perhaps because this is overspiced to the point of being unrecognizable as a saison, I cannot be forgiving - I like the dry, crisp character of the beer - however, all I can taste and smell are spices and a hint of tart citrus - overly bitter throughout - where is my baby helios, god dammit!?

Aroma is yeast, lemons, citrus, spices and a slightly out of place mustiness. The flavor is lemons, citrus, spices, thick/sticky and a tart/tangy finish.

Quite dry. Hazy yellow color. Aroma has yeast, coriander, and citrus. It is aromatic. Dry flavor, with light spice. Solid session beer.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were and left behind a typically carbonated transparent white colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop and grassy. The semi-thick crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of softly acidic grass Irish red malt dough and malt.

On tap at BBE. Pours clearish gold with light to medium head and lacing. Notes of wit bier, coriander, pepper and too much spice. This one was way more of a belgian white then a saison. Medium to heavy carbonation. Not a big fan.

Lemony wheat aroma, light funk. Hazy golden, slight greenish tinge, thin head. Funk is mire in the forefront on the palate. Deceptively dry. Definitely sessionable, but perhaps too much so. I need something with more substance.

Arenít all Saisons sessionable? Well, to me at least. This oneís got a somewhat hazed straw body with a skinny little fizzy head. Interesting aroma. I donít know whatís in it, but I pick up some coriander, ginger, and maybe some chamomile, all over a soft grainy sweetness. The flavorís a bit spice forward, much like the nose, and has some citrus sweetness. The finish is dry and all spiced up, a bit too much for me, coating the mouth and staying there. Over all, not too shabby.

A fresh bottle. Strong and pleasantly herbal nose pushing lemon and rose hips in with the light tartness. With the cleanser feel, has some slight wittish character. Lightly hazy bright yellow body with a lacing white head. Taste is faintly sweet to start but dries out quickly as the bitterness picks up, not so much hoppy as stripping and herbal, nailing those medieval traditionals and bringing light flights of purifying astringency without the rubberiness. Peel and pepper, grainy hay. Clean yeast, fullish body, seems to be less alcoholic than it is, though I think Iíd prefer a lighter body. Honestly, Iím uderwhelmed, but itís fresh and repeatable.
