3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A sharp aroma that smells like you bathed a skunk in lemon juice. Misty, bright gold with a white filmy head. Good label, standard US longneck. Mineral, lightly astringent, lemon zest, funky notes. Medium to slightly light body, low carbo. Hoppy, lemon finish. ABC, Betton.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Lemony wheat aroma, light funk. Hazy golden, slight greenish tinge, thin head. Funk is mire in the forefront on the palate. Deceptively dry. Definitely sessionable, but perhaps too much so. I need something with more substance.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2013 Had again today, this time froma bottle, not bad at first but has a strong astringent aftertaste. raised from a 1.9 to 2. old rating: On tap at mad mex. Creamy head. Slight perfume aroma. Quite bitter, almost like an IPA. Chewing on green grapefruit rinds manifests itself on the back of the throat. Same with finish. Not impressed. Some mild co2. Was expecting something a little more saison like.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a hazed, light straw-hued body with a medium-small, white head.
Smell: Fragrant citrus shrouds the particularly pale maltiness, with bits of grain-flecked dough with subtle florals and a melange of spiciness.
Taste: Pils malts, hints of other such grains sprinkled with a fine dusting of powdered sugar. Floral hints meld into citrus notes from the hops and citrus fruit additions which shimmy into a spiciness from the yeast, peppercorns, and hops, aided by the crisp carbonation. Dry, spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation for a lively, zippy mouthfeel.
Overall: I’d always thought the Victory V / Helios Ale saison was a bit too chewy for me, bodywise. This new Swing Session Saison is bright, light, and refreshing.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear straw yellow pour with a ridiculously big head, aroma has ginger lemon and lime, taste has spice citrus, some yeasty action, pretty good for a faux saison.
