3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweetness decreases and spice, hop and sour character increases with strength. Herb and spice additions often reflect the indigenous varieties available at the brewery. High carbonation and extreme attenuation (85-95%) helps bring out the many flavors and to increase the perception of a dry finish. All of these beers share somewhat higher levels of acidity than other Belgian styles while the optional sour flavor is often a variable house character of a particular brewery.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours hazy yellow with a white head and sticky lacing.I?m not a fan of spiced beers, with that being said I?ll try to review honestly. Spiced beer tends to have an eastern, incense type of flavor and aroma. This isn?t much different. Metallic notes with a piney background. Floral sweetness, mouth feel has some body to it and it finishes quite smoothly. I normally wouldn?t finish a spiced beer but Victory?s well executed brewing process is evident here so I gladly finished Swing with no problem. $9.99/multi sixer at Publix Boca Raton

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
THOUGHTS: A little disappointed with this one. Just because something is low in alcohol, doesnít mean its sessionable. It has to be easy to drink too; and this definitely isnít easy to drink. It was interesting and complex but there was way too much going on flavor-wise for such a light body.
TECHNICAL: Drank 3/29/2013. Bottle. Poured a sparkling, light, golden yellow with an average, slightly off-white head that kept a nice sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma had light white bread and pale malt; light grassy hops; moderate musty, dusty and cobweb-like yeast; pepper and other spices; lemon; lime; and orange. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, moderately bitter and heavily acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, heavily bitter and nearly harshly acidic. There was lemon, orange, pale malt, crackers, white bread, earthy yeast, metallic hops, spices, slightly funky yeast, grassy hops, citrus pith and rind. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and metallic finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pale golden with billowing white head. I found the aroma offensive at first, like lemon scented cleaning products. Itís growing on me though, lemon and lime, sherbet, bret. Taste is a bit effed up too, lemon, citrus, plastic. Slightly tart and dry.

No way this is a saison - tastes like a sour ale from start to finish. Itís not a bad sour ale, thought. Just wish it wasnít so watery to let the nice lemon and seltzer flavors come through more.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Moderate to heavy straw for the malt, flowers, herbs and lemon, moderate barnyard for the yeast, with notes of coriander, melon and damp wood. Head is large, frothy turning rocky, white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling light amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. Nice depth in aroma, but this Saison is a little flat in flavor.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 02-28-2013 at Victory B.C. This beer is presented with a small white head that is mostly lasting, transparent pale yellow body, fast rising carbonation observed, and a fair amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is citrus, earthy hops, spicy, yeast, and malt. The flavor is citrus hops, yeast, spicy, caramel malt, and light bitter. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A very quaffable saison and worth trying.
