Bottle. Funky with a light hop aroma. Clear golden body with thin head. Flavor begins spicy with hints of citrus and hops. A very light, crisp saison, dry and refreshing.

Hazy yellow with a big, puffy white head. Major carbonation. Aroma is orange and lemon. Belgian witbier funk/sweetness, with just a hint of that sour Saison stuff. Perfumey as hell. Also has an actual malt backbone. Grassy and yet with a touch of bready caramel malts. I’m really REALLY impressed with the scent. Taste is more of a Belgian golden ale, with more of a barley malt than a wheat malt. The taste is a little flatter than the aroma would suggest but still pleasant enough. Doesn’t have the "punch" to it that the aroma has. Very bubbly and fizzy on the palate; prickly. This is a very summery citrus flavor, light enough for a hot day but not bereft of flavors.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 8/13/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden straw color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, coriander, clove, pepper, ginger, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of yeast ester, spice, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, coriander, clove, pepper, ginger, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, coriander, clove, pepper, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spice, and moderate malt flavors; with great flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice session saison style. Nice complexity, balance, and robustness of yeast, spice, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

extra points based on the session denomination - this is like a good spiced wit/saison but abbreviated - everything is there - some funky yeast, lemon peel, some pronounced hops, pollen, earthiness and spices but lighter. flavor is light bodied but grainy, spicy, funky, a little citrusy and peppery - nice spicy and yeasty presence with good hops from start to finish - excellent light beer with max flavor - if you think youll like it, you probably will...

Aroma is great with good black pepper, rosemary and orange peel. Pours golden amber with a huge sudsy head. Taste is very spicy with the black pepper forward and a nice dry herbal bread finish. A fantastic session beer from victory.
