This is a nice blend of brews, and hides the midlly high alcohol well. The aroma isn’t that great, maybe a slight bitter hop. Taste is almost like a mix of a bitter and an IPA. Has a nice roast beginning and then has a nice hop finish, almost a creamy texture to it, pretty nice brew overall.

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. Caramel-sweet nose with some strawberry and raspberry fruit character. Clear pale red, thin head. Flavor opens sweet and estery, finished a bit harsh but with nice fruit esters. Gets more harsh as it warms.

Aug 19, 2008 Pours a dark amber color with an off white head. Aroma is very malty but with some hop undertones mixed in. Flavor is also very malty, but well balanced by the hops, nice dry crisp finish. The only complaint is a slight coppery taste. Nothing the stands out here but very drinkable, hides the alcohol well, and has a nice price.

Aug 14, 2008 This is a very crisp,clean, drinkable beer. Not assertively flavorful, but not boring either. The alcohol is well hidden making this one very enjoyable. Got more than I expected out of this one.

Aug 13, 2008 (Bottle). Excellent offering. Deep brownish red in color. Thin beige head. Well balanced flavor, accentuated by lively hops. For the rest, the commercial description is right on target.
