4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Herbal and lemon hop nose, very light pine and wintergreen, just a touch of hay. The taste is fairly dry, extremely nice, crisp pale malts (just what I expect from a Victory lager), solidly hopped, again leaning slightly to the pine/wintergreen/mint end of the spectrum. Clean yeast. Fucks yeah. Love Victory.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Holy Smoke. Pours a clear lightly hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Crisp grain, and a touch of sweetness. Earthy and musky, almost a hint of cat pee, and some hops. Medium bodied, but it thins out quickly. Crisp grain and some sweetness. Slow gentle bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Bottleworks. Pours a light milky soft golden yellow with a pillowy white head. Nose is danky grassy hops, slightly tart saltine cracker, hints of citrus, with a touch of pink peppercorn. Big bubble, but condensed carbonation. Grassy, dank, funky gym sock hops that also have some west coast ipa characteristics. Some slight lactic tartness going on also. The Tettnangers also have some subtle noble pine and citrus that come out. Just a clean well made pils showcasing a single hop that Iím very unfamiliar with...nice stuff.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at Brewpub - labeled as Victory CBC Tradition Pils. Pours a clear yellow. Aroma is delicious. Taste is smooth and refreshing. This happened to be 10-12th sample in, thus the description suffers significantly.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
[Draft @ EB+B] Poured a lightly hazy, golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malts, grass, lemongrass, grassy hops, citrus and toffee. Taste of grass, toast, toffee, citrus, and a bitter, noble hoppy finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Brick Store as part of the 12th Anniversary festivities. I believe this is the version with Tettnanger hops.
Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with tons of bubbles streaming to the top and feeding a fluffy white head that shows very good retention and solid lacing.
The aroma is textbook pils with a light toasted grain aroma with some sweet light malts and some floral and grassy hops. There is an underlying spice presence in the nose as well.
The taste follows the aroma very closely with a solid backbone of sweet pale malts, toasted bread and the light citrus and grassy hops that show up in the front. The finish is dry and very crisp with a hint of the hops lingering in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel is perfect for a summer day, light bodied, crisp and dry.
This is the definition of refreshing as I could drink this all day long on 95 degree summer afternooon in Atlanta...like today. Extremely drinkable and one of the better pilseners Iíve tasted recently.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUN 20, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Clear straw pour. Pleasant, subtle nose of light grassy hops and cracked grains. Just a beautifully balanced and clean flavor expression. Slight hop bitterness with a little bit of woodsy, grassy twang, and an absolutely beautiful, long finish that is really hard for me to describe. I was so impressed with this and itís the most perfect example of the style Iíve had. Amen, brotha.
