COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Before Prohibition, thirst quenching lagers were firm and substantial, and enjoyed in huge volumes. This recipe incorporates yeast from the C. Schmidt Brewery of Philadelphia and a small portion of brewer's corn to recreate an 'industrial' lager of the turn of the century.

Clear pale golden body, thin white head, sparse lacing. Light grainy cereals, gentle floral and grassy hop notes, a touch of cracker. Relatively simple, but clean, medium to light bodied, and decently refreshing.

On tap at brewpub. Pours bubbly pale gold with white head. Nice lacing. Caramel, fruity, musty basement, floral, light citrus. Medium sweetness and lightly bitter. Medium bodied, light carbonation. Much better than I expected it to be.

plenty of small bubbles rise through the transparent gold to a thin white small bubbled head laces well. Tea and grain nose, very plain with light lemon, fresh cut grass with warmth. Well-attenuated flavor, soft doughy grain with husk hints, more grass, all of it very light, even muted by the effervescent body. Lightly sweet by victory standards, and though "plain", still well crafted.

Backlog...late 2011/early 2012...i think this is usually a springtime draft @ VBC...pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma has some light maltiness...bready...with mild notes of grassy spice and tropical fruit. Flavor is bready and has a malty/corny sweetness...just a touch of grass and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is slightly sweet.

Pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma of grain and citrus. Cereal grain flavor with lemon, and some hops. Very nice lager.

Pours clear gold with a tiny white head. Aroma is grass and cereal grains. Taste is sweet with a lightbitter finish. Light and airy. Overall this was pretty good’ it finished clean with no lingering off taste.

Tap at Victory. Sparkling straw with little to no head formation. Nose is muted honey and pineapple juice. Taste is quite nice- biscuity, decently hoppy with mouth watering saltwater and quenching body. Feels at some times like an upgraded malt liquor with sugar and bitter tinniness but far less metallic approaching zero. Still very sweet lagerish all around but unmistakeable Victory malt profile and attenuation. Webby lacing along the glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured on draft into a shaker pint glass. Super pale yellow with a frothy white head of foam. Alright retention. Aroma is grainy and bready with not much in the way of bitterness. Taste is pretty much corn and water with an aftertaste reminiscent of fresh baked bread. Falt what this is, its great. It ma even be one of the best examples around.

Not much aroma at all and it looks like a bud light in the glass. I notice a bit of lemon in the flavor, but this beer overall is very light with not much body.

Max’s. Sweet, slightly corny nose, with some nice herbal and grassy hops. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, grassy, light lemon, some hay. Medium light body is soft with gentle carbonation. Excellent adjunct lager.
