COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classic style bitter is full and creamy on the tongue with no 'bite' as the name might suggest. Golden in color and mild in character, it's a 'session' beer that satisfies. Served hand pumped from the beer engine.

Served hand pulled at the brew pub in Downingtown, PA. Cloudy golden color with white head. Light malt aroma. Flavor was a bready malt with a mineral chewiness and a earthy floral hop finish.

Transfer from BA review from 6-13-12- Served on cask in a pint glass Appearance – Served a lighter amber/yellow color with a one finger white head. The head faded fast giving only the lightest amount of lacing. Smell – The smell is heaviest of a biscuit aroma. Mixed with this is caramel and some grassy and herbal aromas. Taste – The taste starts out with a nice malty base with hints of caramel within. Toward the middle of the taste the smooth bready base remains, but the caramel fades a bit. While the sweet fades a somewhat yeasty and more herbal flavor take over the vacant position. Theses flavor carry the taste to a crisp end with a light hoppy flavor melding in. Mouthfeel – While only at 3.9 % abv this beer is exceptionally creamy. It may be a part of the hand pull nature which leads to a lower level of carbonation, but the body is thick and very nice for the style of beer. Overall – One wonderful session beer. It has good malty flavors mixed with some sweet and hop favors mixed within. Very drinkable.

Had this one on a nitrogen tap at Engine 15. This is a great representation of the style. It’s very smooth with a light carbonation. Taste is nutty and minerally (if that’s even a word). This is a great session beer.

On cask at the pub. Hazy copper. Flaky white head. Fieldy, sweet English malt aroma. Fine lace. Distinctive English malt flavor with added sweetness. The cask makes it all the more flavorful and bitter since its damn near room temp. I thought it was better than the masses let on.

Pint draft at Taco Mac Metropolis in Atlanta, Georgia. The pour is a hazed copper orange with a 1/2 inch light tan head. The aroma is sweet toffee caramel with a bit of grass in the back. The taste is toasted crystal malt, grass and the sweetness of the toffee comes out in the finish. Floral dries out the after taste. The palate is light bodied, towards thin with soft carbonation and a grainy finish. Easy drinking.

Lightly hazy golden body, dense, medium sized creamy white head, soapy lacing. Toffee, light floral and citric hop notes, and some biscuit. Medium bodied, creamy carbonation (on hand pump), mild bitterness.

Cask at Max’s. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast and grain malt, earthy and herbal hops. Flavor is malt and hop balanced, and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Final beer of the evening at Victory brewpub. Ordered on-cask and served in a English pint glass, hazy orangy dark-golden color with white head. Aroma of pale malt, some citrus hops and a light herbal note. Taste brought out notes of more fruity citrus hops, some caramel, toasted bread, grass and some earthiness. Light body, low carbonation, doughy, sticky with slightest herbal sweet finish. Good bitter.

Pours a soft and somewhat hazy orange gold with one finger of off white head. Nose is weird, herbal and clashing hops. Diacetyl and biscuity grain. Showing diacetyl in the flavor as well. Awful flavor. Extremely bitter and astringent. Grating finish. Bleh

On nitro at Lizardville, Rocky River. Good lace and creamy. Bitterness is OK, I would like more of it. For when you want a less bitter beer.
