puzzl (1715), New York, New York, USA Jul 20, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Nitro pour, from what the owner said was a cask. Huh? Anyway, this had a mild soap, amber aroma, lightly hoppy. Disappointing pour for what was claimed to be nitro. Very mild flavor, hop-forward and overly carbonated. Decent if not dull. fredandboboflo (439), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 17, 2008 Cask to nitro at Blind Tiger. Aroma has a mild but distinguished bitterness with grassy, soapy/perfumy, and floral notes. Flavor a wonderful mix of fruity sweetness and that perfumy bitterness. The nitro weakens the palate and strips away that cask-conditioned feel. Greatly enjoyable, but I’m confident I would have absolutely loved it without the nitro middle man. afireinside96 (387), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2008 On hand pull at the Victory brewpub. Pours golden amber with a dense, creamy white head. Smells lightly of caramel and earthy bitterness. Tastes of earthy, minty hops with a touch of caramel. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. Lovely. LilBeerDoctor (438), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 10, 2008 On tap at Blind Tiger (nitro-conditioned cask). Pours a cloudy light with a nitro head. Aroma of light sweet malt and flowery hops. Flavor is initially fruity with a bitter hoppy finish. Super super drinkable and very tasty. I think the nitro works well with this beer and really makes it so smooth and drinkable. It would be interesting to try this sans nitro though. Excellent refresher. jrob_21 (840), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 23, 2008 Draft at the brickstore. Pours a clear dark orange color. Toasted grain and bitter hops are the biggest elements here. A little more full bodied and maltier than most bitters I’ve come across. Some caramel malt character. Aroma is grassy, piney hop. Flavor gives you the bitter that you would expect from the style. An english style with an american spin. The american spin is the malt and body.
