2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught, at Muggs Ale House, Brooklyn, NY.
Pale yellow colour. Chemical dry hoe aroma. Thin flavour. Metallic corn thinness. Not that impressive. I was warned but you have to find these things out for yourself.

Bottle. Yeasty, malty and delicious...this lager is GOOD! I’m not a fan of lagers, however Victory has done it again, with another beer which beats my expectations of it. I love Victory beers, however I can’t find Hop Wallop which I would love to try! (Hint, hint!)

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Best by Aug 13 2004. Grassy slightly spicy aroma with hints of bananas. Pours a pale yellow with a quickly vanishing tiny white head. Light flavors, nice body, rather creamy with some doughiness to finish. Maybe some hints of peppers in there too. This is very drinkable and not unpleasant. Nice body.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very clear, pale yellow body with a thin white head. Lightly sweet, very mild hops, slightly grassy. Starts out with mild malt and mild lemon zest; finishes doughy and slightly hoppy. A solid beer, but overall I’m not that impressed.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Wet hay nose, pale yellow color. Sweetness up front - pronounced honey tones. Low bitterness, but nice. Pretty smooth lager. Average lager in the larger scope of things, but a great New World effort.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Straw yellow, nearly no head Ligth carbonation, light nose, light hoppy taste, but really like ...nothing. Served a bit to cold - so that might have been the problem.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark gold/straw. Aroma of malt, lemon, slight honey, and wheat. Tastes malty, with a crisp citrus, hop finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bleached gold-tinged straw. Loose-bubbled, collapsing white head. Sweet, toasted hay aroma infused with grassy hops, perfume, and lagery mineral notes. Spicy fennel, lemon zest, and honeydew notes reside underneath. Fuzzy carbonation. Rounded body. Subdued mineral and dough flavors immediately soften the body with a fairly lemony and airy undertow. Flowers and fresh melon trail the sweet hay subtleties alongside restrained spicy hops. Finishes grassy, yet with less snappy hop bitterness/dryness and more softening doughy pilsner malts, along with a mild note of clover honey. Much to my chagrin, there’s minimal zip to the carbonation, and the malt presence has less depth than you’d expect, which, in turn, detracts rather than accentuates the elegant hop components. While certainly a respectable Dort, this doesn’t hold a candle to the likes of Sly Fox Helles.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2004 Clear golden yellow with medium pure white head, this beer has a grainy/grassy aroma and flavor with aa hint of perfume. Well-balanced and even on the hop tip. Slightly honey sweet with crisp finish. Not a lasting aftertaste.
