3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.89 at Olde Crabapple Bottle Shoppe in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Enjoy By: Sep. 29, 2011.
Appearance: Transparent, light yellow-hued body with a smallish layering of white suds.
Smell: Judiciously sweet-scented German malts supported by a pinch of finely-ground spice and a twist of lemon.
Taste: Moderately grainy-tasting, faintly bready pils malt with a drop of honeyed sweetness. Spicy, lightly lemony hop profile with ample bitterness to balance V out. Closes out dry with a small tingle of effervescent carbonation.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: A pleasant, likable all-malt lager.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. pours a light golden with a slim white head. grainy, bread driven nose with a bright crispness. medium body to full body - well carbonated - grains, earthy hops and light lemon coat the mouth. this lager has a great body throughout - drinks very well. nice finish with some caramel flavor, earthy bitterness and more light citrus. definitely underrated!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I was shocked to see some of these low ratings for this brew. What else do you want from a lager? This beer is perfect, right on style! I don’t get it; some beers regardless of the taste, but because of the style (IPA’s Belgium) get high ratings, when lagers continue to receive low ratings. This is a great beer!!! However, I do agree with Cheapdark, the price is too high for this brew!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle into highball glass. Aroma was light citrus and hop flavors with some malt mixed in. Small yeast in the nose too. Light yellow, like a pale lager with bubbly accents and a poofy white head that deflates rather quickly. Slight white lacing like the nest of a Chinese fighting fish ;) Taste is pretty similar to scent: mainly malty with bread/biscuity malt and very light hop and fruity flavors hidden in the background. Grainy and light. Refreshing but not too noteworthy.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours clear and bubbly, just like a cheap champagne. Scents are metallic and little sour, with a hint of vanilla. Nothing really going on with the flavor, just light hops and a twang of malts that make it almost, again, metallic. The finish is a tortilla like bitterness. I feel like I just chased down a bud light with a penny. Maybe a dime.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle [12oz]. Pours a clear, very pale yellow-gold with an average size lasting frothy white head. Aroma of corn, grain, biscuity malt and very light hops, too light in fact. Only slightly watery flavour is grainy and slightly sweet along with corn, biscuity malt and light hops. Very mild bitter finish. Average bodied. I’m not a big fan of Lagers but I’ve definitely had much better ones then this, this is average at best -- in short: Boring.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Ehh, not one of my favs. A fizzy corny colored brew with a corn and sweet aroma. Thin tasting, bland with mild hop.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Midtown Wine and Spirits, in Nashville. Pours a hazy pale yellow, with a thin white cap that collapses to leave one bland looking glass of beer. The nose is a super-clean but somewhat innocuous doughy/grainy malt profile. Light-bodied with fine, subtle carbonation and a "neat" finish. The flavor is similar to the nose: grainy malt with a slight doughy-yeasty quality and a just a hint of hops (Noble?) to tidy up the finish and counter the malt-forward profile. The subtle aftertaste is actually more satisfying than the flavor while drinking it. I can see this as a solid gateway beer for macro drinkers looking to transition to craft beer, but with Prima sitting alongside it on the shelves and tap handles, I can’t imagine there are too many beer geeks buying this stuff.
