Previously known as All Malt Lager (Helles) & V Lager

There was a time when all beer tasted this good. Back when immigrant Brewmasters turned fresh malts and hops into liquid gold. Before big business lessened our precious beer with corn and rice. Having trained in Germany, we thirst for better beer. So, we brew better beer like this crisp, golden, helles-style lager. Brewed with patience from quality German malts and hops, it is a Victory for Your Taste!

Malt: Imported 2 row German malts

Hops: Whole flower German hops

An ok beer, very refreshing. Yellow gold and some foam. Like corona but not as good. Good in the heat though.

Originally reviewed: 2/20/09. Pours an absolutely clear palest of yellows. Minimal carbonation rising through. Large bubbly white head on top. Moderate retention. No lacing/webbing to speak of. Smells very light and sour. Some corn, slight citrus. Twangy. Very light and watery mouthfeel. Goes down very easily. Taste is of strong lemon in my mind. No hop bite. Slight malty flavor. Not bad for a thirst-quencher, but that’s about it. I won’t get it often, but it is refreshing.

Bottle--nice, just a straight beer to have with pizza or something informal. Off yellow color with no head, not much of an aroma, perhaps a bit citrusy. More malt than hop taste, easy finish. Ordinary, but nice to drink. Produce place, 1.49

Bottle into a Lager glass, a lite gold color with a thick white head that dies fast. Tastes of malt and the summer sun. It is a fine light Lager.

Pours a pale yellow with white head. aroma of bready yeast and German pale malts. Taste is a nice balance towards the sweeter side. Finishes clean and crisp with a slight bitter touch.

Poured a nice golden colour with a fleeting pure white head. Straight-forward lager. Refreshing.

Poured a yellow color. Medium head that dissipated off. Aroma of grains. Light sweetness, not much bitter. Smooth. A good lager (if your a fan of lagers).

12oz very cool retro-WW2 label. Pale clear yellow with a decent-sized fizzy/foamy white head, not a lot of bubbling. Honey and heather with a fair amount of sharp grassiness, no corn or paper - bit of biscuit malt too. Tastes of lemon grass and honey, no alcohol, undertone of light cereal grain - not a go-to style for me, but crack this in a can and I would buy them during the summer as a low-intensity maintenance quencher. Chewy, decent body, strong carbonation yet soft on the palate - quick-finishing with a dry, grassy aftertaste, ultimately not all that sweet.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with no head - almost Budweiser appearance. Smell is virtually scentless.. a little bread in there. Taste is very light.. a little bit of yeast taste.. but nothing you’d call flavorful. This is not awful.. but it’s a far cry from the Prima Pils, etc.

Light yellow beer with a fresh and airy malt aroma. Bready taste that is almost bitter, but mainly sweet. Crisp but not biting. Simple and effective beer.
