BlackForestCO (549), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle from dmac, thanks Dave. Poured a clear golden color with a moderate, fizzy white head that faded to a layer. Light aroma of sweet malts and a hint of light fruitiness. Flavor really consists of only light, biscuit maltiness and some light grain flavor that almost has a fruit taste to it. Smooth and easy to drink. While it isn’t very complex, it is decent for what it is.
kassner (181), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2008 Came in the variety pack which is great, but nothing special. Not much malt, butter, or flavor other than carbonic acid. Better than Miller Light but not much. PilsnerPeter (1473), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 13, 2008 Bottle: Pours a slightly hazy light golden with a fading white head. The aroma is sweet rotted apples and apparent husk- not appealing. The body is very light. Papery and husky flavor with adjunct all over the place. Not much bitterness to speak of. A bit of a mess, however, I would choose this over the macro lagers that are in the mainstream market. italianjohn (86), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pours a cloudy gold with barely any head sweet smell and very watery taste goes down easy with a small hint of bitterness at the end has a fresh clean taste definitely on a higher level than the macro crap out there .... a simple lager good stuff Dandman629 (11), Ashburn, Virginia, USA Aug 25, 2008 Overall great lager. Victory brewing never lets me down. Do agree the price is a bit much for this beer. The light frothy head has a sweet golden scent. The smooth lightly malty taste is quite refreshing. DrDavid (321), Johnson, Vermont, USA Aug 19, 2008 (Bottle). Slightly sweet aroma. Pale yellow color, small white head that disappears quickly. Very mild flavor that’s mostly malt, and a bit corny. Not a beer that makes much of a statement.
