sleepylopes (313), New York, USA Jul 12, 2008 this beer is big, at %12 ballance is hard to master. They did not quite pull it off. Beyond that its nice, pours light peach with a small head. Aroma is spice and malt. A touch sweet and thick. A bit medicinal and ping at the finish. It improves as I drunkin. 12many (231), Ohio, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Once again this brewery has impressed me. This reminded me of Merry Monks by Weyerbacher except that it was improved upon in almost every way. Malty aroma with a very smooth sweetness. Alcohol is hidden extremely well. Very nice from these guys. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 10, 2008 750 ml bottle - spent about 10 months in my fridge before opening; thin head and clear, reddish amber; aromas of candy and stale malts; very sweet and juice-like texture; thin body; flavors of yeast, plums, spice and slate lemons; first impression is that i waited this long for this? haha; pretty sweet, but texture is mildly off putting and overall kind of blah SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 8, 2008 Sampled at Bockyhorsey’s Bocky Bash on 7-5-08. Last one of the night! Hazy copper color pour with a small foamy head. Malt, light fruit, yeast, hops and alcohol in the aroma. Fruit doesn’t come through in the flavor as much. Nice hoppy finish. A good ending for a great night! Fish guts are good for azalia bushes. yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA Jul 8, 2008 Victory V12 is a clear and very sparkling copper ale with a foamy yellowish off-white head that exhibits good retention. The aroma is sweet like caramel, fruity like cherries, and spicy. It is big bodied and smooth with a syrupy finish. The flavor is big and very complex. It starts sweet and fruity and then turns resiny and oaky. It then turns a bit medicinal, like cough drops, until the alcohol takes over for a firey finish. This is serious business, but I don’t see what makes it Belgian. It’s more along the lines of an American Strong Ale. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle sampled at the 7/5/08 Bocky Bash locals tasting. Pours a hazy amber with minimal head. Nose is floral hops, Belgian yeast and spice. Taste is much the same with a nice hoppy finish. Medium, semi-creamy mouth feel. Decent beer. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bottle from 03/29/2005 consumed on 07/04/2008. Somewhat hazy amber body with a large frothy tan head. Heavy caramel and rum soaked fruit aroma. More caramel, rum soaked fruit, molassas, raisins, with a bit of bitterness in the end. Full body with moderate carbonation. BuckeyeBoy (1639), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bottle Pours out a copper orange topped with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast, sweet fruit and a touch of hops. A very tasty brew more of the yeast and fruit tast. Along with the nice tast this brew has a very nice mouth full.
