Pretty dark pour with little head. Taste is heavy on the alcohol. The beer doesn’t hide the alcohol at all and the spices, hops, and whatever else is in it tastes piss poor. I try to keep my rating vocabulary somewhat proper, but this beer was terribad. One of the few Victory beer that I haven’t liked.

750mL. Poured into trappist glass.
This pours a clear strawberry, light red with a thin, off-white head that has no retention and leaves no lacing. Aroma is musty, esters, some spice, sweet light candies. Overall, this is one of the worst beers I’ve tried- it is just so bad. The taste is incredible cloying alcohol, sweet strawberry pancake syrup, sickly sweet stale candies. This was- I’m so sorry to say- a drain pour.

Bottle. 25.4 oz. Pours cloudy orangish amber with a moderate, foamy off-white head. Aroma of cherries, roasted malts, walnuts, grapes, oak, and traces of hops and barley. Full bodied. Medium, smooth mouthfeel. Slight alcohol taste, but it is offset by the nice warming in the finish. Very good Belgian strong from Victory.

Hazy Orange pour with a thin, lasting white head. Aroma is Yeasty, Some Candi sugars and some spicey fruit. Flavor is sweeter than the aroma, brown sugar and date fruit. A touch of yeast gives it a bit of spiciness. The alcohol is very well masked but gives the beer a robustness. Relatively simple but a good brew

Bottle: Poured a golden amber color with a white head. The aroma was malty, dark fruits and spice. The flavor was the same but with a tad bit more sweetness. Overall, a high quality brew.
