imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA Jan 16, 2008 Poured like murky pond water with a nice amber head. Spice and some citrus were present. ALCOHOL was very present. Not my fav. but was alright if you like belgians. leitrim65 (398), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 14, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color. Aroma consists of oranges, dark fruit, spice and some alcohol. Silky creaminess. Citrus and dark fruit flavors are most apparent and are complimented by some spice and alcohol in the finish. BMan1113VR (2755), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Jan 13, 2008 Bottled on January 9th, 2006. Consumed the night of January 12, 2008. Aroma is yeast, citrus, dates/figs, spices, some alcohol and some copper. Pour is a muddy brown-orange hue with a frothy tan head. Taste is odd, almost like a strong nutmeg eggnog at first, not bad, but very different from what I assume was a Quadrupel attempt. A bit closer to a Tripel, but still not distinct. Mouthfeel wasn’t great for the style or price. Decent alcohol present on the finish. Tripplebrew (486), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 11, 2008 Pours a deep hazy brown/amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is citrus and spice. Flavor is malt, hops, orange and yeast with definite carbonation. Perhaps i have had a bit to much beer to rate tonight but the alcohol has an effect. bennylava (83), California, USA Jan 7, 2008 750 ml bottle. Pours with nice head and brownish color. Excellent complex spicy aroma. Punchy alcohol taste with fruit flavors that finishes sweet and malty. Very pleasantl and warm. Reminiscent of a true Belgian style tripel. More enjoyable and complex than Bush(Scaldis). beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 7, 2008 Pours a hazy orange color with amber highlights and a thin white head. Good aroma and flavor of oranges, spices and yeast. The body is light with a liquorous texture and medium carbonation. RSRIZZO (1337), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 7, 2008 Aroma is a fruity yeast scent. Color is solid hazy burnt orange with good carbonation and a thin tight head. Taste is fruity, creamy and clean. Starting with a full body it goes down with a foamy feel that gives it a creaminess. Finish comes in with bold dry fruit flavor (raisin and prune), then a tiny spicy flavor and a nice Belgian yeast taste. There is an alcohol feel in the after taste along with a mild bitterness that balances out the sweetness and lets it end clean. This is a fabulous Belgian style, I love this brewery everything I have tried by them has been great. bryandhargrave (165), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jan 6, 2008 wow. im really happy about this. so glad i went up there and got it. if you can get this and youre into this kind of beer. drink it.
