dmac (1418), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Oct 5, 2007 750 ml bottle. Poured a murky amber/brown with a bubbly white head. Strong alcohol aroma coming through, think of beer schnapps, with a slight touch of caramel and some yeast. Spicy alcohol flavor with a slight touch of yeas hidden behind the alcohol. Did I mention the alcohol??? This was a let down. Dark ruby-amber color, small off-white head. Hayish hoppy nose. Very sweet, lightly hoppy and malty. Liquerish palate. Alcholic aftertaste. oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Sep 29, 2007 Bottled@SBWF2007. Murky amber colour, mediumsized white head. aroma is lcohol, malts, yeast, raisins and some raspberries. Flavour is quite much the same along with some vanilla and nutty notes. A pleasantly made brew. omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 28, 2007 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy roast red, brief head. Aroma of caramel and raspberries. Full bodied with rather clean mouthfeel. Potent and warming, salty with almondy yeast character and flowery notes. Hops comes through the yeast induced flavours giving it a resiny, really bitter finish. A massive beer, but perhaps missing out on the finer details. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Sep 27, 2007 8/2006 Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with an inch of head into the trappist glass. There was a spider web of lacing clinging to the glass. The scent was very wheaty and gummy with some malt, carmel, dried fruit and raisins. The flavor bursts onto the palate with hins of alcohol, spices, roasted nuts and cloves. Excellent mouthfeel and perfect bubbly bite and kick to the palate. pilsnerrogge (1769), Finspång, Sweden Sep 26, 2007 bottle Brown and hazy with an OK head. Sweet, fruity caramel aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour with an alcohol bitter finish.
