750ml caged and corked bottle from McKinnon’s in Salem, NH. Pours a murky copper body with an inch and a half to two inches of light tan head. Smells fruity - pears, raisins, citrus - with some spice, caramel, brown sugar... Tastes fruity sweet with caramel and brown sugar notes. Fairly dry despite the robust sweet flavors that equally comprise the flavor. Balanced and subdued as any good quad should be. Smooth medium body with ample carbonation. A sipper for sure (as is to be expected) but one sip most definitely invites another. A really solid quad and an enjoyable beer. Not overwhelming or in your face like a lot of American interpretations are, but balanced and enjoyable.

Bottle. Couldn’t believe how much better this tasted than the golden monkey considering the abv is considerably higher on this brew. Nice job victory. Nice golden beer with a depth of character on aorma and flavor.

Pour from a 750 is orangish amber with a soft white head. Smells of caramel, molasses, dried fruit, plumes, and spice. Just like Thanksgiving dessert! Sweet and soft on the pallete coat the mouth well and goes done easy. You can taste the alcohol some but it is not a distraction. Finish is thick and bitter with a slightly metallic quality.

Poured a dark amber. Nice sweet aroma. Candied fruits (oranges, pears?) caress the palate. The hops provide the bitter balance necessary to keep it from becoming too sweet. Alcohol is definitely present, but nicely covered. I really enjoyed this one. I’d like to get my hands on some and bring them out for special occasions. Who needs champagne?

First time tasting this ale. It rolls very smoothly over the tongue with a brief tingle of carbonation then a sense of fruit and malted grain. The finish sustains those flavors as they dissipate maintaining the body as the flavors fade.

Corked bottle from KAggie97. Thanks for going all the way to Colorado to get this one for me! I love you! Pours a beautiful, cloudy cheddar orange with an aroma of yeasty cinammon, bready peach, and a touch of sour orange. The head of slight beige leaves a complex lattice work that, if I was on acid, I could stare at for at least 20 minutes. I’d probably be able to translate the designs into Hebrew or maybe Portuguese. Anyhoo... Flavor is a rush of alcohol-soaked bread and tart peach, wtih hints of candy sugar and strawberry. Whew! This one, at 12% ABV, took my breath away. But not in a Berlin kind of way. Nice mouthfeel that is puffy and thick on the palate; the taste buds are immediately partying from both the intensity of the flavors and the alcohol; mostly the alcohol. This is a great beer. Wish I had bought more.

Yes, yesterday @ Alvinne. From bottle, 75 cl. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma old hops, citrus, sugar, yeast. Medium body. Taste american hops, yeast, spices, bitterness.
