So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature's most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. 750 ml bottle. Pours a rich amber color with little head that fades quickly. Color is very clear and free of any particulate. Aroma is of cherry, must, yeast, and notes of dark fruit. Taste is light cherry, sweet malt, notes of dark fruit and some yeast. Moderate carbonation and alcohol is well hidden. Good stuf

Pours a brown/amber color. Smells very yeasty and musty. I can noticably taste the alcohol but otherwise tastes yeasty and I do pick up a bit of those caramel tones. Pretty good for the style.

A typical but very good Belgian strong. I am growing a little tired of this style, but as far as the style goes it is borderline excellent. Aroma of yeast and malt. Pour was a dark cloudy brown with a nice 1 1/2 finger tan head with no lacing. Taste was sharp and spicy with hints of yeast and strong caramel tones. Sticky and thick mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol well in the taste but halfway through one glass I can feel it. Strong and ordinary for the style.

I liked the alc notes in this brew. It’s strong and pungent. Taste was fruity; pear comes to mind. And therein lies the problem for me. I wasn’t too keen on the flavor and aroma. Nothing inherently wrong with this beer, but It just wasn’t my type.

The dark ruby color is inviting. Looks like delicious liquid caramel. The aroma is decent, a fruity smell with caramel. The beer looks great. The beer has hints of dark fruits and caramel. The flavors did not shock me, I expected that, but what was annoying wasw that the ABV got in the way. It burned the back of my throat. Stille Nacht has the same ABV and yet the alcohol is hidden a little better I believe. This belgian ale is okay, it just lacks originality. I was expecting this to be different in some way, but maybe I should not have put this beer on a pedastal. The beer is fine, I like the ABV, but the flavor is weak, and the ABV is strong. Decent brew. Very smooth, and okay taste.

Pours a copperish hue with light, diaspating heas. Fruity begian nose, and a thick cloying flavor. I bet some age will help this as the alcohol is not well hidden

Pours a dark amber with a nice off-white head. Big fruity/yeasty Belgian nose. Flavor is sweet: a very complex, fruity mixture ... maybe some raisins, a bit of peach and cherry, although mild. Dark fruitiness abounds. Big alcohol presence. Pleasantly warm and full. Very robust and flavorful. Excellent.
